So generally, i can handle all types of toxicity, but the one that gets me is when, they just say bitchy passive aggressive things, that don't really warrant a mute, but they keep going and going and going, (they are usually performing horribly and in this case are actually the reason we lost)

The team, just politely ignores this person then BAM, they drop the passive aggressive, start hardcore flaming, blaming everyone else. Then someone snaps (was me this time) and just goes "shut up and fucking play dude. holy"

THEN BAM! "/all chat report amumu for flaming me. been talking shit all game. im trying my hardest"

it actually tilts me to the moon. i want to pick up my computer, and throw it into an active volcano.

any time you say that words "it makes me want to" or any form of it you're lying to yourself to validate your actions. people have no control over your emotions or actions. even when threatening your life you choose what you do. so first i would suggest learning to control your own emotions and behaviors then i would suggest you dont give them any attention because telling someone to report you in all chat just validated your report against them for harassment if you dont say anything passive aggressive or negative back to them.

learn the rules - then learn how to use them to your advantage. that's life.

its complicated, because i always think "well they aren't too bad. maybe they will stfu and we can get this going"

i give the benefit of the doubt way too much with it. but omfg. it tilts me.

and even if i do mute, its the people who spam "?" on you every 3 seconds. no matter what you are doing, because they want you to go 1v5 steal the objective from the people they fed.

be VERY careful when leaving people unmuted. often. passive aggressiveness can be a sign of people trying to rile you up in order to get a retalitatory response for the purpose of reporting you. otherwise known as flamebaiting

I don't even get why saying "shut up and fucking play dude, holy" should be reportable in the first place. Yes, there are curse words in there. But given League of Legends' target audience and T rating, curse words should not be an issue. It's another way to say "pls be quiet and play".

It is an insult and if i would have a jurisdiction insurance for paying my lawyer i would sue everyone saying it. The audience does not matter, it is insulting to "people"... yes i know it is tough to understand there are actually people behind the screen playing the champ.

It might be another way of saying it.. still it is rude. If i would say: "just gtfo and hope you get cancer" might be another way of saying "Please der Sir, we both might feel more relief when our communication ceases so i can concentrate on the game"... it is still not polite and i would never say that or wish it to someone.

"just gtfo and hope you get cancer" is wishing a horrible disease on someone. It's not the same as telling someone to stop typing arguments and just play the game.

"shut up and just play the fucking game" is telling someone who's probably busy typing bullshit to get his shit together and actually do something useful in the game. It's not an insult. It's practically the same as my friends telling me to "get my shit together and fucking study" when I complain about a bad grade. It is actually respectful that they are treating me like an adult and telling me to take responsibility rather than saying "oh its just the teachers fault for not being a good teacher" etc. There is 1 person I can change, and it's me. Most of the time the teacher is actually fine and I'm just being lazy, however, even if the teacher is bad, if I can't drop the class, I have to still try my best to study and do well.

When I tell someone who is arguing with someone else to "shut up and play the game" it's because I believe that they are capable of being a better person and not letting the troll drag them down to their level.

I totally understand. I happened to me yesterday 2 of 3 matches and today in the first match i played. i am so done with this community and will mute everyone from now on.

Honestly, just /mute all in low elo.

They rarely communicate anything of value, (flash timers, ward placements, prepping objectives). Half the time that they open up their chat box it's to be toxic in one form or another.
