Can players get banned for things said in post-game/stats screen?

Basically just had a guy start calling us pathetic sacks of s**t and telling us to go kill ourselves in post-game, but he didn't specifically say those things in game. I reported him and he may have been penalized already, I'm not really sure (I received an add after, I think it was from him because he wanted to prove he WOULDN'T get banned, but I couldn't see a name). So I'm just curious, does Riot pay attention to reports sent for things said in post-game screen? This guy seemed to think that they don't. Here were his parting words before he left the room:

"now if you'll excuse me please go kill yourselves while i enjoy the rest of the season without getting banned or penalized in the slightest becuase riots not going to ban me you should probably have not played league or at least stopped living idk idc either works for me XD"

Riot sees pre-game, game, and post-game chat, and you can get punished for any of it, yeah.

If it looked like he didn't get banned I was probably going to try to press the issue... But I kind of have a feeling he did, since he hasn't played any more games and I thought it was weird how I couldn't see the name of the person adding me. I just wanted confirmation that Riot looks at post-game chat

If you took a screenshot, I believe you can file a support ticket for it.
