Want Toxicity to Go Away?

Start grouping people together better. my K/D/A over the last 40 Games = 10.8 / 6.5 / 6.3 ... Yet my win ratio is under 50%.

Now I know people will say "K/D/A doesn't matter - blah blah blah" - Go look up the LoL pro's KDA's ... you will find they are positive.

DoubleLifts K/D/A = 6.1 / 4.3 / 6.9 (positive)

Not to mention ... it's extremely hard to win a game that you are behind 20 kills in.

I am in no way saying I am a LoL Pro.

What I am saying is - Leagues Matching system is horrible. When someone is trying hard to win - and they are making sure not to feed the enemy team ... How can you expect them not to get toxic when you have a laner that is 1/9 before 20 minutes?

Here are the 40 game average KDA's of a set of teammates LoL put me with. ( All champs are from the same game )

4.0 / 8.5 / 2.0 (negative) 6.8 / 7.4 / 8.2 (negative) 7.8 / 11.7 / 12.1 (negative) 7.5 / 8 / 9.8 (negative)

2.5 / 5.5 / 9.0 (negative) 3.7 / 7.7 / 5.4 (negative) 8.7 / 4.6 / 7.3 (positive) 5.3 / 9.7 / 15.1 (negative)

How can you expect them not to get toxic when you have a laner that is 1/9 before 20 minutes?

By expecting them to act like human fking beings.

Let's get something clear: Some people--such as yourself, it seems--believe that players inherently accept that if they play badly, they're open to being harassed, cursed out, and subject to whatever other forms of toxicity. That's not how this works, and Riot's made that expectation clear.

This is how it works: If you join a game, you are not guaranteed four good teammates. You know this. Everyone knows this. Therefore, when you play this game, you are the one accepting the possibility that things may not go your way and there may not be anything you can do about it. That does not give you carte blanche to abuse the person costing you a chance at victory.

If it bothers you, listen to music or watch a Youtube video (if you have a second monitor) while you go through the motions. If it bothers you so much no distraction is sufficient, go outside. Talk to girls. Do anything else, because playing this game with that attitude is not doing your mental health any favors.

its almost like the KDA isnt a meaningful statistic in a team game focused on objective taking.

This is something that I struggled with for a long, long time so please listen carefully to this:

If you do the right things to win the game you will have a high KDA. However, having a high KDA does not mean you are doing the right things to win the game.

Doublelift has a high KDA because he is doing the right things to win the game. You have a high KDA because you place a high importance on having a high KDA.

This is what matters:

  1. Get a CS and EXP advantage (most important in the early and mid game)
  2. Prioritizing towers over kills (most important in mid/late game)
  3. Don't die unnecessarily (always important but becomes more important the longer the game goes on)

Many people who struggle to climb place too much of an importance on getting kills and/or not dying. That's only one leg of the chair. If you aren't prioritizing CS/EXP early game and objectives mid game then you're missing the bigger picture.

The only real way to get rid of toxicity is for people to stop being so arrogant and angry. Even when you're team is winning there is sometimes one kid who will shit all over the weakest link in your team. Everyone thinks they're better than everyone else and are never the reason their team loses an advantage in game or is the main reason they lose. The only way it would work is if matchmaking guaranteed you teammates that would win you the game but that obviously can't happen for everyone because one team has to lose.

Not gonna happen. Behavior moderation board is riots way of pacifying players. 99% of posts here are basically worthless.
