I worry about my mindset and view of teammates in recent games.

I like to think I'm a positive person but the truth is I do tilt easily and I'm more of a "Hope for the best but plan for the worst" when it comes to League.

I had two major comeback games today but in each one I feel as if I've failed my teammates and the League community in regards to my behaviour.

The first game started with our adc being afk from the get-go and I was his support. Immediately I feel like landing phase is gonna suck which it did and the enemy Cait got way ahead. I got angry and did the stupid "plz report Ez for afk" in all chat and then proceeded to say 4v5 gg"

This is already a bad thing for me to say but I've experience so many afk 4v5 losses in the past that my mind immediately said"oh well we are screwed can't wait to ff at 20."

Ezreal came back in after 5 min saying his wifi had gone out but I didn't listen. I was a guy with support items, dealing with a fed Cait and an under-farmed under-leveled Ezreal who in my mind had cost me a game. I was curt to him in chat and abandoned all hope as we both died to our lane opponents often.

In the end our team as a whole rallied and we actually won with sick plays on everyone's part including my frustrated self and our behind Ezreal.

Pretty much the same happened the next game where I as Swain was against a Brand who for some reason gets nerfed less when he is way more abusive with new masteries (story for another board). I was behind in lane, someone dc'ed for while and I was ready to quit and rage.

We turned the game around and won even though I had over 12 deaths and their shack had 20 kills.

What happened during my season 4 to preseason 6 League life that has made me into a doubting, distrustful, negative nancy? I'm worried that at this rate I'll become more toxic-like and keep wanting to surrender games that I could have won. Is it just that my mains are being nerfed/left in the dust (Swain,Cass) or is it the crazy preseason just making me bitter with all its imbalance.

tl;dr I'm sorry to my teammates and I need advice on how to change my mindset before it hurts me.

i used to be really salty and on rare games i still do the best thing to do is look at what you did wrong and see what you could have done instead and instead of saying to your team you should do better and you should have group and you this and that you should say we should have done this by saying we it does not blame anyone sounds like you are just trying to make a suggestion.

It sounds as if you are a very competitive person, and have carried that over into League. It is very hard when a situation like yours comes up, but the best thing to do is try to joke your way around problems.

Laugh and the world will laugh with you. It is all about fun, not necessarily winning, although it is certainly very refreshing when you see the "Victory" banner after the conclusion of a match. What it is is simply returning to the way you were when you started... understanding that it is a game, only a game, and nothing more that a way to RELAX and relieve stress, not create more.

As a person who started out very casual with this game, I can understand where you are coming from, because as we spend a greater amount of time doing something, we usually begin to take more pride in how we do it.

Hope this helped!

+1 just for adding line breaks.

I usually have a friend on skype just to talk too him about my gameplay. I make him watch, so when I get made/frustrated, I can talk to him about it and sometimes even get a good laugh.

idk, but league for me just is losing its fun year by year, because i watch rewards slip by because i genuinely am not good enough at the game to acquire them.

i figure by the time i am good enough to get them ill have lost so many chances that it wasn't even worth my time investment in the first place.

I know the feeling, I had a Warwick game not to long ago where everyone was losing lane incredibly hard, and being Warwick couldn't do jack until level 6. Trundle was taking advantage of my 'chicken with its head cut off' state and trying his best to sneak buffs out from under me, and ganking like crazy.

For one, the Top Leona had already made me nervous, and the general state of all the lanes not 5 mins in had me at wits end. Then I start dying to Zed in my own jungle, and I was ready to explode. I wanted to surrender, but somehow out of the chaos our Twitch kept picking up stray kills, than immediately dying.

I came into his lane briefly and took a few minions out of rage, to which he told me to stop, and I made one snarky comment his way. At this point, I think I muted all my teammates and broke down into this rage state of no return. I've found this is easily my best way of keeping me from flaming teammates, but that's all I can do. If I'm in that far gone, I can't seem to bring myself back to a stable playing condition and will do dumb things like push top while the inhib is being taken, ect.

I'll suck hard at the game, but at least I won't be screaming at Leona for going top. I really need to find a way to bring myself back to a stable level when that happens.
