Trolls in Promos and how you dealt with it!

So I'm just curious what is the crappiest situation that someone had to deal with in a ranked game during promos?

I had my Gold promo recently and got matched with a support Aurelion Sol, who in the first 7 minutes of the game died 8 times. He then preceded to agree that he was feeding, joke or not he ended 1/16/2 as a support.

My question to the community, what is your crappiest situation where you qualify for Gold or Plat or Diamond and someone intentionally makes a troll pick.

Do you think its coincidence or is there people out there who intentionally do this to ruin promos or rankings if they have prior knowledge?

I tried to carry the game with sol but the higher the ElO the more difficult a 5v4 is. We ended up barely losing so I failed to carry as an AP mid, but I just wish there was more besides dodging to deal with people of this caliber, what is some of your examples and what you did to over come it?
