When it is ok to flame.

There are multiple types of personalities that play league. You have the passive players, the farmers and aggro ones. The passive players usually don't give up much other than cs if they are in trouble in lane or jg. Farmers are self explanitory. Aggro players usually have the most self esteem issues. The people who are going to win or lose the game for the other 9 players. If they pull it off, they are the hero! They get the honors from their team. If they don't pull it off and cost those players their time they full well deserve to be flamed. There needs to be punishment if when you get into the game it will not be decided on how you play but rather the ego of someone else. Riot should come up with a system to put those players in the same game or exemption should be ruled if their team hard flames them for wasting their time.

Any alternatives i'm welcome to hear. This is for fairness. Wasting peoples times out of selfishness is rather arrogant at best.

When it is ok to flame.

Never.

Aggro players usually have the most self esteem issues. The people who are going to win or lose the game for the other 9 players...If they don't pull it off and cost those players their time they full well deserve to be flamed.

No, they don't deserve to be flamed just because their aggro playstyle didn't win the match. Besides, a loss is seldom due to a singular factor - if the team lost, they need to look at their own contribution to the match, not just one person's.

There needs to be punishment if when you get into the game it will not be decided on how you play but rather the ego of someone else. Riot should come up with a system to put those players in the same game or exemption should be ruled if their team hard flames them for wasting their time.

Absolutely not. You won't ever get a free pass to flame someone just because they're not solo hard-carrying you. You want to win? Pull your weight. But don't think you get free reign to ignore the rules because you couldn't be carried.

Wasting peoples times out of selfishness is rather arrogant at best.

Ironic. So, people aren't allowed to have matches where they don't pop off and carry you, but you're absolutely free to put yourself above the rules because you expected someone else to win the game for you?

The correct answer is only when you are a fire using champion throwing actual flame abilities.

Or ... I can adapt my playstyle based on match up, state and location of the minion wave, level or power spike advantages.

Different playstyles typically come from players whom either know alot about the game, or don't know enough about the game. If they are good, they would win and climb MMR, if they are bad, they will loss and drop loss MMR.

So what you are proposing, is essentially the match making system, where the good players are matched with the good, and the bads are match with the bads.

Btw, in iron, everyone is bad. So all the different play styles are because they can't tell when is a good time to be passive and when is a good time to be aggressive.

I'm all for allowing players to flame trolls/inters/bad players; Noone should be shielded from criticism when wasting other's time or playing poorly.

The only restriction there needs to be is for spamming, so players don't get too focused on typing and are distracted from the game

When is it okay to flame? According to what the vast majority of the player base believes; whenever you feel like it.

When is it okay to flame? According to intellectually dishonest disrespectful riot pundits; Never.

When is it okay to flame? According to Riot; whenever you can get away with it. Ping, feed, whatever you can just dont leave evidence in chat.

When is it okay to flame really? Don't let people moderate your personality, you're right. Be unapologetic with yourself. They can mute you, and if they ban you, find a game where free speech is respected. Punishing a conceptual offence with feasible action isn't ethical. Turning the other cheek and ignoring a player is the best course of action. The negative feeling in your chest as you vindictively check three report boxes, don't make you jesus protecting his flock.
