I fully Understand why my Friends said "Don't play this game"

I love this game, Riot has a super fun product the Characters are unique and fun to play, the game is challenging and i love Ranked.

But Jesus the community for this game is completely horrid and toxic. Every game is just filled with toxic behavior of people raging, bullying, and what not non stop.

Then when you get out of the game its just a constant barrage of people demanding some one else gets reported and what makes it worse is, there is nothing you can do about it. besides feel trapped in it or put your self in silent land only to miss out on a lot of team communication. or worse you lose because your team is either purposely throwing cause they are tilted due to some one being toxic, or because said members are spending more time typing and demanding some one gets reported then actually playing the game.

I love this game, i really do but i feel that there is no real punishment for being toxic, i know people say oh they will get banned or what not but thats not for several several games ( depending on what punishment they are on) and then when they do most the time its some throw away account they don't care for

I have played this game consistently since Season 3 across all game modes (Rest In Peace Dominion, my favorite mode). I have not encountered as much toxicity in any of the season as people claimed. Of course that's just my own experience, but I played everything from co-op vs ai, normal, blind, feature modes (hexakill, urf, nexus blitz, etc.), twisted treeline, dominion, and a lot of ranked (solo and flex). There's always the occasional inters, afk, flamers, trolls etc. in my games on either sides, but only barely a fraction of all the games I play.

People can have multiple accounts, chances are he mains on another account but just posts on this one

There's also the fact that infinite summoner levels weren't always a thing, and that some people (like me) play off and on, hence not having a high summoner level.

I can say similar and i have over 8000 games played on this account alone. Not EVERY game is full of toxic behavior. Mute and report those being toxic and make joking comments and banter back and forth. It decreases the amount of toxicity you notice a lot and helps make the entire game better off.

Are things frustrating? For sure. However listening to music tends to help. I enjoy this game as well. Ignore trolls that want to upset you, because all you are doing is giving them what they want otherwise.

Making posts like this is exactly what they want too. They got their main banned so they want to make everyone else quit because they are petty and cant learn self control.

Will we ever be rid of trolls? Nah. Can we lessen them? Sure, if we would stop feeding them.

It's not like this in CS:GO or Organized Amateur Play. I got all the way to the equivalent of Diamond 4 in CS:GO. I got flamed once in a while. Nothing even remotely close to League. You can't even get banned for toxic chat in CS:GO. That's the fucking ironic part.

OP isn't wrong. There's something awful about MOBA players, and especially the LOL community. Calling someone a dog or downy or etc is like, ingrained into League now.
