Why do people care?

I'm really curious as do why people care about getting someone punished. Sure in the heat of the moment i would love for that particular guy to be banned. But if you ask me the next day, i would honeslty not give a fck about it.

Sure, i report sometimes when i am tilted and someone intentionally tries to throw the game or he is flaming and doesn;t shut up. But i honestly would not go the extra mile just to punish someone (like submitting a ticket)..Reason is simple : I don't care.

If the system catches you or not, it's whatever. I don't really care all that much.

I don't realy know why you guys care. It's just a game, that sometimes makes people tilt. Sometimes when i play league i just listen to music and do my own thing. People can flame do whatever they want. It really doesn;t bother me. And sometimes, i get tilted by someone, the guy is flaming etc. And i report him ( to be honest everytime i report someone it's in game that we lost) but if you'd ask me the next day, if I would want that player banned. I would not care.

Why does it mean so much for you guys if that particular player gets punished or not. Is it really worth your time?

Yes. For all of 10 seconds it took me to describe something along the lines of "Told me to kill myself with bleach" in the report box, to see a few days later a notification that the prick was banned was totally worth it.

Would you spend time with someone who doesn't have basic manners and self control, is a fire starter and obscenely vain?

Would you wish this person on strangers?

Are you this person?

You would understand this feeling better if you ever served as a game servers admin. Having done such for years on a voluntary basis, I personally prefer to see rules upheld. When I originally joined the league, I hoped that upon reaching level 30. I myself could join the fabled Tribunal. However the tribunal was effectively shutdown before I could even do anything. Now I simply take my 15-30 seconds per game to write up concise reports on people who clearly violated the summoners code. It's not so much that I care (and I do mind you). I simply feel like I am helping, even if it is a very small gesture. The thought that I reported someone who may eventually get banned is a satisfying feeling. Keeps me motivated on playing this game even more.

It's because they messed up your experience, and most people don't think the person should continue ruining other people's games. If they were, say, toxic, you would want them banned or punished so that, hopefully, they won't ruin another game for someone else, or ruin another one of your games, if you have the misfortune to cross paths again.
