Totally agree with Sorcerer, just like in sports after a game the players line up and shake hands. Doesn't matter if its a stomp or a close game. In League "GG" is the equivalent of that. It doesn't matter if the game goes badly, better to just be polite.

It usually is. Most games and sports at all levels end with a reasonable expectation of the words "good game" being uttered. League is no different.

Sure, anybody can twist most words around, but it takes a real persecution complex to assume malice from "GG" alone.

No, it isn't. This isn't a friendly anything in the hands of this community. I don't need anyone to "shake my hand or anything after I just fought a 1v5 cause I had no way out of the game.

If saying gg to a game i had to literally 1v5 the whole time is civil then I should be able to tell someone to go fuck themselves without penalty when they do it.

i agree that in situations where lets say 1 team had an afk or troll. i agree that a "gg" might be taken poorly. the enemy team should be mindful of this fact.

First off: Just because it was a stomp doesn't mean it wasn't a good game.

Second: Saying GG isn't saying that the enemy and/or your team played with skill. The skill level of the combatants is irrelevant. It is like a handshake, it is a way to mark the end of an honorable competition, and to recognize that you accept the outcome in a civilized way.
