what replay software is allowed?
i know some "replay" software actually has things built in that are against the rules and i don't wanna get banned

replay.gg is good and another one is overwolf and it lets you pop up a box in game so you can see what happened before your death immediatley after dying
Replay.gg is one that won't get you banned. I use it on occasion to check my matches on occasion.
Replays do not interfere with the in-game experience, and thus replay clients are fine as long as they contain no other functions that break the ToS. As of posting this, I'm not away of a replay client that actually has any other functionality to it, so any of the popular ones should be okay to run. Basically, just make sure the only thing it does while you're playing your game is record the replay.
I had the exact same question awhile back... I was terrified that I would download a replay program and get banned.
But anyway I was directed to "LSI" - League Summoner Information. It works well for me and it is approved of by Riot themselves (Or so I heard).
