Punishments for racism, cancer, suicide, and inappropriate summoner names?

Do people actually get punished for saying that i should get cancer? Or when they're describing what they want to do to do to Black people, Mexicans, etc? What about describing in explicit detail how i should kill myself? Or when they have a tag that is either sexual or has swear words in it?

I couldn't care less about what their names are. I just want to know if riot actually enforces the rules or if they want to let these guys play because it boosts their player number and increases profits.

But i do give a shit when someone tells me to kill myself or when there is ACTUAL racism in chat. Fuck you if you think that being able to mute them solves the problem because that's the first thing that he typed. Yeah I muted him immediately after but the knowledge that this guy is still probably talking spewing garbage is ridiculous. I see people posting on the boards complaining about when people mute all at the beginning of the game but tell me why i should have any reason to continue reading this crap every other game.

If I had a dollar every time someone told me to kill myself in-game then i'd have enough money to buy the rights to League of Legends and implement a system that would do its job at banning people that use this kind of hate speech.

Pretty sure they change their names to something like tempname12345 so that they have to save up 14000 IP/spend RP to fix it.

Riot is pretty heavy-handed when they punish players for racism/sexism/threats etc. Players usually get a first-and-last warning along with a 14-day suspension.

OH COME ON. I tell people to "kys" all the time. No one says it seriously. Riot however does ban alot of people. I know because I have gotten over 5 of the popups telling me my report led to a punishment.

I have reported such people and I have received notifications about them being banned. The way it works is that you have to be the last one to report. Say you and someone else on your team reported a player, I'd their report went in after yours they get the motivation. That's how I think it works.

Also, if someone's exceptionally toxic, I take a screen shot and send it to riot support who manually look into the player.
