Ranking up in Honor just seems to take too long :(

So I got a punishment in late last year, was a chat restriction, pushed me down to honor 0. Now I have been playing off and on since season started and have not gotten so much as a warning about toxic play. I get at least 1 honor a game, and yet over these 200 games, I have only made it through 3 checkpoints. This seems a bit ridiculous to me as I got a 10 game chat restriction for going off on someone who wouldn't stop being toxic, a year ago... Now I'm not gonna say that I haven't done some toxic crap since then because I have, but it's rare, you really have to test my patience a lot to get that side of me.

The overall point of this is that I don't understand why it is so hard to get checkpoints between level 0 and 2 when you already get punished by receiving 0 rewards, and having a lock on honor for 4 months. I've played 40 games in Honor 1 Checkpoint 0 and haven't gotten a checkpoint. This system seems super punishing for even minor offenses...
