Riot, the only way to stop toxicity is to remove the in game chat

If the in game chat was removed, players could not harass each other at all. Pings would be enough means to communicate (provided that a few more are added), and people would learn to read pings. This game is known as one of the most toxic games out there, and even though I know you guys are doing everything you can to stop it, this would be a huge step.

This would also break the community overnight. I understand where you're coming from, but censoring everything is not an effective solution to a specific problem.

Riot doesn't care if the community is toxic. Riot cares about how many people quit. Removing chat would probably make a lot more players quit than toxicity does a year.

There's a reason they went away from infinitely stacking chat restrictions and went to bans after 2 strikes. People that are extremely toxic in chat and refuse to change end up being toxic in other ways if their chat is taken away.

Punishing everyone and causing new, worse problems is not the solution.

When it comes down to it there is no solution ever. Take this scenario: Mr. Troll wants to play league to piss off other people so he makes an account. He proceeds to troll people until one day he gets banned. He makes a new account and does the same thing. Rinse repeat. Maybe RIOT IP blocks him. Mr. Troll changes IPs, uses a proxy, or a VPN and circumnavigates the IP block. Rinse repeat.

There is NO solution. The community will always be toxic because toxic people love spreading their toxicity.

Anything they do is merely a way to try and keep the average person from slipping up and getting pissed in game. Real trolls cannot be stopped.

People would still be able to behave dickishly without chat. Spam pinging every time someone dies, trolling by dancing instead of assisting a teammate, stealing camps/CS, baiting a teammate into an engage and then escaping, etc.

If you're going with the raze-it-to-the-ground method of combating in-game toxicity, removing the in game chat isn't the only way. Shutting down the game permanently would do it. Making it into a single player game with 9 bots would do it. They're just not viable approaches.

Everyone should have an icon beside their name of a little girl, because then people would stop and think: "A I telling a little girl to go kill herself or get a nasty sexually transmitted disease?"
