Why isn't giving up on the game: deciding to troll, afk, or not help in any situation reportable?

THis happens frequently, and what i mean by afk is afk farm in jungle/running around in circles around the map. The rest is self explanatory. Do players that frequently do these sort of things get punished? I would personally rather have an afk on my team than someone who's begun ruining the game for everyone else becuase they aren't doing well or just suck.

unsportsmanlike behavior isn't broad enough for unsportmans like behavior you mentioned?

It's reportable as long as it's an intentional throw of the game. The problem lies in a ton of borderline cases between "I don't care about the game now but am still playing casually" or "i'm tilted and dying a lot" or anything like that, where there's a lot more underperformance than intentionally losing the game.

The feeding/afk cases can just take a while to get through to review, but it absolutely is reportable.

Of course they get punished just as long as people actually report them. What makes you think nothing it being done about it? You don't see the same people in every single game so you obviously might get a troll or two. With that said as long as you report them and hopefully leave the detailed comment they will get punished. It just takes time, just like toxic chat bans it gives you some "free pass" since they know people have bad days. But in the case of trolling and intentionally feeding they give harsher punishments when caught hence why they take their time with it so they know they are doing the right thing!

I think afk checking is improving but it shouldn't be cranked up to a point where some random pattern in your playstyle (that isn't trolling) makes you a target for a ban. Since afk and trolling goes straight to 2 weeks/perma punishment Riot doesn't want to risk punishing innocent people (I imagine).

I agree my recent matches have all been with trolls throwing the matches constantly and no way to deal with it I too question how these players are this awful and even get to "Bronze 5" let alone "Above Bronze 5" and still just as bad there needs to be something done about it I mean playing bad is fine, but what I have seen today isn't really playing bad its flat out retard, and IDK what Riot is doing about any of it, its not just a single game either, but players throwing off lanes intentionally as a jungle, or not doing what they are supposed to be doing to win a game.

Like IDK what makes some days of League or some weeks the most awful, while some weeks are great what is with the match making?

To me it feels like Riot allows players to "Intentionally Passively Troll" and the only way your not going to get away with that is if you are in the "LCS" doing it or "ESPORTS" and then even if a player gets angry and says something toxic back or questions it the player gets chat banned but the trolls get away?

Like I understand bad things happen but when you go dive a lee-sin for example when a lane is winning, and put the enemy ahead, or when you don't even take a champion that half way would result in the team doing over-all better its a problem perhpas the champion thing can't be punished but in game what peoples like to do with throwing things so hard or doing nothing, even as a support or jungle u could be actively warding even if u cant gank with green smite, or counter warding the wards enemy's drop.

It is, Riot just for some reason doesn't have some kind of report function for trolling itself besides unsportsmanlike conduct, but yes, they have to do it frequently to get banned.

leaverbuster didnt solve much. if people are upset enough to leave the game then they have given up in their hearts. just because they cant leave the game now doesnt mean they are going to say 'well i cant leave i guess i better not give up and just try 100%'. no. they still have given up. they just have to find a different way to do it.

you want to start banning them for farming jungle and avoiding fights? ok then they will just run into fights and pretend to fight (which people already do btw. its just harder to notice). there is no solving this. if someone wants to give up then they are going to give up.

It is reportable, and people are in fact punished for doing just those (leaver buster especially handles afks). We just don't see as many posts from those people because they generally already know why they were punished.

Like with verbal negativity if they do it consistently enough then they will eventually be punished.
