Question about the banning process

I'm rather curious how the punishment system works or more accurately, how it escalates into harsher punishments. I personally am in good standing and have no intention of suddenly being a jerk, but I would like to know how it works. Are there levels? Does it have stages? What are the kind of punishments you receive when your on the horizon of perma ban but not quite there yet?

Please and thank you :3

The Instant Feedback system has 4 tiers:

  • 10-game chat restriction
  • 25-game chat restriction
  • 14-day ban
  • Permanent ban

Generally, with each punishment received, you climb up one tier of punishment. However, if somebody exhibits extreme enough behavior, they can skip tiers (including direct to permanent ban, but that is very rare). And if a player proves through their behavior to be reformed for a period of time, they can also climb back down the punishment tiers.

There's kind of a level system but it's hard to explain. When you first start getting reported you may get one or two warnings before you get some 1 day bans. After that, the time frames start to get bigger until it's permanent. Alternatively, if you are just getting reported for bad language, you may get a chat restriction which limits the amount of words you can type out. I'm sure there are others but I just don't know about them.
