First off that secound part... is false...And It is really tiresome having to mute a team EVERY GAME just bto avoid issues there needs to be a mute self option within the settings or a perma mute team button for each game.

You could also ask Riot through support, though I doubt they would follow through. Chat is too helpful of a tool. Just don't misuse it.
