What do we actually do if someone tries to bully their way into their preferred role?

I've had 2 games today with people threatening to troll if they don't get their way. Both times it was the player queued as jungle/mid, just as I was, but I got assigned jungle and they got assigned mid. Both wanted to jungle. The first one I flat out said "no, you may not jungle" and he just went double jungle instead. Looking at his op.gg he's played jungle every game for his entire match history. Either he's a very smooth talker, very lucky, or he just picks smite on whatever champion and goes into the jungle anyway.

Obviously I reported him, but I don't expect anything to happen. He's still playing, he's been doing this for a month at least, and that's totally unacceptable. Seriously Riot, what are we supposed to do in cases like this? What's the point of this new queuing system if people just abuse it and take what they want anyway?

Riot has stated from the beginning of Dynamic Queue that they track people who queue as one role and then play another and that you can report this if someone tries to force you into playing something other than what the system assigned.

That being said, there are cases where people happily swap. So it's OK to ask others if you can swap roles, but it's not OK to attempt to force it on them or refuse to play what you were assigned.

you can't change who people are, but you can influence their behavior. instead of saying "no, you may not jungle", say something like "do you mind if i jungle please? :)"

yes they are dicks, yes they deserve a suspension or ban for this behavior, but there are ways to influence the most toxic people, most of the time by just being nice and appealing to their side of decency. don't worry, their negative actions will catch up with them.

Honestly, I would rather deal with a 5-10 minute "punishment" of not choosing a champion if that happens. It sucks that you have to get punished so your team won't experience any negative attitudes or players in your game, but it's better than spending 20-40 minutes ingame with someone who will intentionally make your game experience horrible.

This is what I would personally do. It sucks that leaverbuster piles you in with others who intentionally afk, but it's better than dealing with a toxic person in your game. Thankfully, it seems when this happens, someone decides to quit out, and it's usually not me who does it.
