LeaverBuster Cumulative Countdown Timer

So, I was in a queue with two of my friends. One of my friends had dodged a game a while back, and thus, LeaverBuster made us wait 5 minutes. I am fine with that. What I am not fine with, however, is that with 10 seconds left, my other friend accidentally hit "Leave Queue". This caused us to have to wait a total of 9 minutes, 50 seconds just to get into queue. Now, this could be a nice cautionary tale about not dodging, but this was not my fault. I accepted 5 minutes of waiting, but 10 is a bit much, just because of a simple, honest mistake. Therefore, I propose that LeaverBuster's timer have a cumulative effect: that way, if it gets cancelled, time spent waiting doesn't get lost.
