Will reporting for afk work?

Basically I was Support and my adc played like they were watching netflix, attack a minion, die, wait a bit, come back into lane, repeat. He/she was never there for ganks, just sitting next to the turret. So for some ease of mind I would like to know if this person is just going to get away with that or if there will be any consequences. Its just really annoying to go through 20 min. of wasting my time, it wouldn't bother me if they were active and we were loosing. But just to join and pay very little attention to the game is extremely rude.

You should have reported him after the game ended for the AFK, and say what he was doing.

Yes, if you report them for being AFK then they will be punished accordingly by both Riot and Leaverbuster as well.

I have never heard of anyone who has been reported and banned. If they are they never talk about it on the forums, or if they do it is deleted by the mods.

Oh people have been definitely reported and banned, and people do talk about it on here sometimes. Heck, I've been around since the old boards and it seemed like almost every day or every other day there was a thread made by someone who was banned. If you're not seeing any threads, perhaps it's because you're not looking hard enough. Another reason as to why people may not be posting is because they know that if they try to post a rage thread trying to get others on their side, the community will just ask for their reform card which will usually prove that they were lying in their OP and they don't want that to happen.
