Will reporting for afk work?

Basically I was Support and my adc played like they were watching netflix, attack a minion, die, wait a bit, come back into lane, repeat. He/she was never there for ganks, just sitting next to the turret. So for some ease of mind I would like to know if this person is just going to get away with that or if there will be any consequences. Its just really annoying to go through 20 min. of wasting my time, it wouldn't bother me if they were active and we were loosing. But just to join and pay very little attention to the game is extremely rude.

You should have reported him after the game ended for the AFK, and say what he was doing.

Yes, if you report them for being AFK then they will be punished accordingly by both Riot and Leaverbuster as well.

I have never heard of anyone who has been reported and banned. If they are they never talk about it on the forums, or if they do it is deleted by the mods.
