Can you clarify this for me? Are you trying to say bots aren't punished? Do you feel this way because they aren't punished as quickly as a toxic player? You have to remember they ban bots and scripters in waves to make it more difficult to figure out the detection system.

If all it took was a report to ban someone instantly then half the player base would be gone by griefers. They have to actually investigate reports, use your head.

all bots use the same formula rush to the first turret follow the last minion and then die.... repeat.... how can that mechanical, preplanned movement, not be detected? how is it that everyone reports a bot then next game everyone reports the bot then next game everyone report the bot and he still playing? how am i supposed to enjoy this game when 3/4 games are ruined by a bot..... if you can afford to put people in stadiums then you can hire a moderator who can look at reports in real time... am i supposed to keep playing with a smile on my face when every game of aram is ruined? am i supposed to even keep playing? does riot not give a flying rats ass? when you cant play a game then theres no point to playing the game. words that hurt your poor little insignificant feelings arent ruining gameplay ... bots are.

Except, you don't really see bots in ARAMs at level 30. You may still find them in coop v ai, but by 30 they are usually out of ARAM. Now, can't be certain, but if you did manage to get the same person in a game over and over with queing with them. I would think the system would only look at your first report against them. Any after that may be considered bias. That is speculation though.

They would need more than 1 moderator. Considering the sheer volume of reports that would probably come in every moment a game ended. Riot apparently does because they do ban the bots. Once again, it just takes time.

Do bots ruin games? Yes, mainly coop v ai which is usually practice/mission fodder, and low level ARAM.

Do words ruin games? Yes, they do too. Because making someone tilt or belittling someone will affect their gameplay. Is tilting the enemy a valid strategy? Yes. Do you need to be toxic to do it? No.

The bot ruins the immediate game it is in. Words can ruin the immediate game and any done after.

Both are bad.

Do they need a better bot detection? Yes. They could use one that uses reports to flag an account to monitor to add to the list.

This is far from true. Depending on what time you're playing, of course, but bots are FREQUENTLY in ARAM at level 30.

Then I rescind my comment on it. During the day I don't see them at 30. I don't play in the early morning though. Is that when you normally see them?

Absolutely. I wouldn't be exaggerating to say I'm seeing like 40% of games in ARAM, past 2am and before 7am (weird work hours), have one or more bots. A LOT of ARAM games in my match history have bots, which you can see based on KDA and builds.

If the report system was taken at face value and bots were instantly banned, then I report you as being a bot and you're banned on the spot. There obviously needs to be some form of validation to prevent that. So Riot has behaviors/processes they look for to verify if it's a bot or not.

If they instantly banned bot accounts after going through the validation system, then the programmers who designed the bots would have instant feedback on if their changes to slip past the system were working or not. This would result in new, unverifiable bots within 1-4 weeks of Riot banning the old bots, which in turn requires Riot to put even more programmers on developing ways to detect these bots, etc.

Botting in some form or another will exist until Riot makes a way for people to get fresh Level 30 accounts officially through them. That's the only way it will end. But if Riot does that then they're official endorsing Smurf accounts, something that ruins the experience of a lot of players.

In short: The bot situation is a no win situation, but the way it's currently being handled might be the best way possible.

No he's just not telling the whole story. Sure they want to avoid people figuring out their detection systems... but it's also because they're tracking the bots. They want to find the source, and shut down whole sites instead of just individual accounts one at a time.

They are banned in waves at random which is typical the opposite is however right about riots sjw tendencies

Regardless of the [current year], some people still going to be racist no matter what. Anonymity brings out the worst in people. Just look at 4chan, or Reddit, or Twitch chat or the YouTube comments section. Riot can try as much as they want, but as long as smurf accounts go unchecked, racism is going to continue to be a part of the community.

Google and youtube even redefined fascism for the rioters pretending to be protestors and have demonetized most right wing channels in order to censor the people who speak out against the left.
