Is it just me, Or are people way too quick on the "reported" threat these days?

I find that nowadays, the slightest of critical comments can get you reported by your teammate, his duo partner and next thing you know the entirety of the other players have labeled you as toxic all because you didn't see how you 2 allies died in top lane so you asked. "What happened? Did you guys get 2v3'd?"

Apparently that's enough to warrant a report in some peoples minds and I've seen other examples happen too. Anything from asking someone to "please ping mia" next time or "Don't let the Nasus free farm" is considered bad spirited and toxic it seems.

Don't get me wrong, its an admirable goal to have a game where everyone's life is filled with rainbows unicorns and ponies and everyone gets along but mistakes will be made, advice will be given, and critiques will happen. If you can't learn fem criticism then you've got a lot of growing to do.

So next time that someone in game says something that irks you, before you start screaming "report!" in all chat, ask yourself if they are actually being toxic? Or are they just a little confused/frustrated. Reporting is a last resort tool not the first thing you say in chat when someone upsets your delicate ego.

That sentiment is all well and good when you phrase it like that, but it's very easy for it to slip into reportable territory. Something is toxic when it's said with the intention to hurt/threaten one or your teammates.

For example, you don't say "Why did you split push top instead of grouping?" to help your team, you say it to make your top laner feel worse about himself. Which makes it reportable. Also, calling for reports also counts as threatening one of your teammates, so that's also reportable.

If you done nothing against the rule then don't worry about them screaming report. False report do nothing against your account.

i had to unfriend someone because of the frequency they screamed reported. Every single game, as soon as somebody did or said something they didn't like, "reported." "omg i'm going to report that guy." "this guy on our team keeps making stupid plays, are they feeding? reported!" Sometimes people just have bad games, relax man.

Anyway, I agree.

"stop feed" isn't a (good) advice -_____- "play safe" neither ....

Who cares if they're screaming report? It doesn't really mean anything.

It is just you. If you are knowledgeable of what is report-worthy behavior, and you recognize it, you are supposed to report them as a member of your community.
