One of my friends got a 14 day ban like almost 2 years ago. They're worried that they could get perma banned but they haven't gotten a ban or warning to chat restriction since. I told them I think the punishment goes down over time with games played but I'm not really sure lol.
It does go down, supposedly every 3 months without a punishment. And if he were banned 2 years ago that was likely before they used the current tiered punishment system anyway. He'd have to go through 10/25 chat restrictions and another 14 day ban before a perma, barring some sort of manually reviewed punishment that was considered permaworthy.
