Losing 1 promo game for leaving champ select

Should be removed tbh, sometimes something urgent happens and you have to leave. Leave champ select noone is really damaged, and low priority queue and queue block seem enough.

You don't get to determine what's good or bad for the 9 other people in champ select. Having people dodge games especially when champ select has already started is extremely frustrating. If something that urgent happens, it's more important than your video game promo anyway. People want to get into a game as quick as possible and play, which is why there are dodge penalties. People dodging with impunity (mostly because they don't like the matchup...not because of real emergencies) is not healthy for the game.

If someone gets extremly frustrated about that, he should seriously learn to relax.

We are talking about promos here, ppl definitly wont leave in their promo games just cuz of anything. Even if they are weird enough to do so, they will get queue block higher and higher everytime, which seems enough of a punishment for me.

Of course they will. If they don't like what their team picks, if they don't like what the enemy picks, if their champion got banned, if they don't get to play the new release, and on and on.

The chances of someone having to leave for a legitimate emergency are not so frequent that this wouldn't be abused. As I said in my original reply, if you had a true emergency, it's more important that the goddamn video game.

I would think it being promos gives them more reason to leave for minor things. They want everything to look perfectly in their favor for their promo game, so they dodge if even something minor looks unfavorable. But to be honest, idk why dodging promos specifically is punished more harshly than any other game, but it probably has to do with what I said above. Is that enough of a reason to punish more harshly for it? Idk. Thats a matter of opinion, and Riot's opinion is that it is.
