This is the exact type of shit I've been talking about for so long

Just had a ranked game where enemy team was picking Yasuo top so I went Skarner top; as I do frequently. Well my teammate, bless his heart, decided that rather than dodging what in his view was someone trolling, decided to troll, and picked poppy support into Morgana. And while I got a great 5/1 lead in my top lane, our friendly Poppy had already fed 8 deaths by that time, not to mention AD deaths on top of that as a result. We need serious punishment for people who troll on purpose to affect other people's games. Who cares if something is an off meta pick. Play your best game. Because what would have been a mid game stomp, turned into a cluster fuck because 1 person decided to be childish.

Support poppy is viable. Are you sure the person was trolling and it wasn't just a bad game?

sk top not a troll pick in your eyes but poppy support is ?

wat

they are on the same level of off-metaness

I've gotten rickety wrecked by poppy support as a squishy mage before. If she gets you against the wall, you're toast.

  1. how do you know the other player was trolling? your evidence so far is "picked poppy" which is already shown to be not a reasonable indicator.
  2. a second indicator was "fed 8 kills". Can you prove these kills were the result of intentional feeding, as opposed to bad play?

so far you have no case

Too many champions. Low elo doesn't bother learning them all.

Ability to pick your lane ahead of time. Low elo doesn't bother learning all the lanes.

The real reason things went sour, punishments for dodging.

Did you report the player? This would fall under negative attitude, and possibly intentional feeding. One report triggers a review, and Riot will issue at a bare minimum a stern warning for the first time it even looks like someone may have been trolling. If it was blatant or egregious, it would be an immediate 14 day ban, or even a perma if it was very egregious.

Note that manual reviews like this never trigger Instant Feedback that would let you know a player has been punished.

If you didn't report, you may be able to submit a support ticket with info and ask them to forward the report to player behavior teams, however I've not seen anything to this date on if they actually are able to do anything through support ticket reports (if someone has info pls link).
