Why can you even ban a something an ally is hovering

I'm so tired of my teammates banning my champion in champ select solely so they can have the role. Hovering Xerath/Qiyana mid? banned because my ally wants to play mid. There is absolutely no punishment for this and it only serves to tilt your team before the game ever begins

Because if we can't secure the OP FOTM pick first, then it needs to be banned.

Because this is the way draft pick game modes are set up, and it's not a player behavior issue. Anyone, including yourself, can ban any champion for any reason they want, it's not against the rules, and nobody will be punished.

Maybe make a suggestion on the Gameplay board to change how draft works, but I wouldn't hold your breath, as the whole point of bans coming first in draft is to remove those champions from the game.

There really isn't a good reason. The only semi-decent reason is a situation where you know a champion is pick/ban, and the teammate hovering it simply won't get it in time and you will lose the game if the enemy has that champion. That's pretty much it.

Hijacking lanes in draft/ranked is reportable, regardless of if they ban your hovered champion.

because you want to be an asshole to your team mates and lose the game

also why wouldn't i be able? if i see you ahve 20% win rate on the new champion and you are 5th pick and the champion is busted im banning it

you trolling on something you first time would be more beneficial than you picking that champion
