Does Having Bronze MMR Affect Who You Play Against In Norms??

So I havn't finished placements, but I currently have bronze mmr. And after playing norms, I've realized almost everyone plays like a brainless ape. There's an 0/6 fiora who keeps trying to 2v1 the enemy team. An akali is constantly pushed up even though she is 3/5. And everyone has such low cs scores that when I was jungle, I had 40 more cs than anyone else. So what the heck? Is Norms affected by my MMR?

Your ranked MMR has nothing do to with your normal MMR.

I think this is in the wrong section of the forums but here's an incredibly simplified answer:

Ranked MMR is different from Normal MMR.

Your ranked MMR is based on your ranked games

Your normal MMR is based on your normal games (so SR draft is its own, SR blind is another, TT draft is another, TT blind is another, and ARAM is another one of its own as well)

You are paired people who balance each other out in terms of team MMR. So if the enemy team's MMR averages out to about 1000, your team's MMR will average out to about 1000.

Overall this means that usually you are playing with and against people of similar MMR.

It does not affect who you play, but the ranked border shows.

The biggest difference, though, between ranked and normals is that ranked restricts how far outside your mmr are you can duo with. Normals don't have that restriction, so there can be some really oddball matchups in ability levels.
