Here Are A Few Reasons Why Yasuo Isn't As Broken As Everyone Claims

Here are a few reasons as to why our man Yasuo Yasuo doesn't need all the hate that he gets on boards.

1.) Despite what many think, his passive shield doesn't allow him free roam over the lane. (You can break it, back off, and then still poke him)

2.) Yasuo doesn't have infinite mobility. He needs enemies to use it. (And it isn't a spammable ability. Until late game, you use it on each enemy maybe once)

3.) Yasuo in fact doesn't gain a 2nd shield, since the PD nerf hit very hard. As such the more optimal build takes Statik Shiv.

4.) Windwall is very easily countered as it is the last skill Yasuo upgrades and has the longest CC. (It also is 1D and can be easily baited as Yasuo will use WW predictively. Meaning in the early stages of the lane, you can test to see if the yasuo knows what he's doing or not).

5.) Yasuo, despite what people think, in fact doesn't send tornadoes every 3 seconds. In fact, they are actually, quite easy to dodge. Just treat them as a Xerath Q. And early game if Yasuo misses his 2nd Q, welp now he has no tornado as his Q proc will reset before his Q comes up again. (You also can see if he has a tornado because he will have a cool animation around him that looks like wind blowing around him)

6.) Yasuo's Q are pretty linear, meaning if you dodge horizontally, it actually is really hard to land Qs.

This concludes my short list. I may or may not be adding more based on what I think of. Lmao this is gonna get so much hate.[slayer-pantheon-popcorn]

1.) Despite what many think, his passive shield doesn't allow him free roam over the lane. (You can break it, back off, and then still poke him)

If Mages were to come close & autoattack him, this gives Yasuo a big chance to dash in & land multiple AAs at their face.

2.) Yasuo doesn't have infinite mobility. He needs enemies to use it. (And it isn't a spammable ability. Until late game, you use it on each enemy maybe once)

The biggest issue with this is I don't know who he has already dashed to. The fact that I can't tell which minion he already dashed on gives me the impression as if Yasuo can just dash multiple times non-stop.

3.) Yasuo in fact doesn't gain a 2nd shield, since the PD nerf hit very hard. As such the more optimal build takes Statik Shiv.

I'm still seeing most people still building PD. Not sure I can comment much on this yet.

Not bothered this much at top lane, but at mid lane playing as one of the most vulnerable mages like Veigar, this can be very aggravating to go against, especially when a simple basic ability like Yasuo's WW literally erases a giant execution like Veigar's ult.

"But Braum's E does the same!"

He still takes damage at least.

Early game, he can still be a nuisance as he targets all his Q mainly on you alongside minions. Late game, he literally needs less than 3 seconds to recharge it back up. This is honestly one of the most pressuring thing I've ever have to fight against, alongside the fact that he can go for the EQ combo at any moment.

6.) Yasuo's Q are pretty linear, meaning if you dodge horizontally, it actually is really hard to land Qs.

An aggressive Yasuo most of the time doesn't follow the books. Dodging his Q is harder than you think.

Here are a few reasons as to why our man Yasuo Yasuo doesn't need all the hate that he gets on boards.

1.) Despite what many think, his passive shield doesn't allow him free roam over the lane. (You can break it, back off, and then still poke him)

popping the shield isnt the problem, its just repeatedly harassing while its down, and unless youre an artillery mage of some sort getting close enough to even pop it means he's close enough for a dash and few autos plus conq. plus, in a midlane matchup where he has a quote on quote, disadvantage, his opponents are using mana. in tandem with that lost chapter nerf a while ago, they cant really poke him past level 5.

2.) Yasuo doesn't have infinite mobility. He needs enemies to use it. (And it isn't a spammable ability. Until late game, you use it on each enemy maybe once)

him backing off from the wave immediately has the wave pushing towards him, thus making your wave bigger granting more dashes. and most of the time its used to animation cancel his q anyway. because it gives no reaction time.

3.) Yasuo in fact doesn't gain a 2nd shield, since the PD nerf hit very hard. As such the more optimal build takes Statik Shiv.

this is true tho

4.) Windwall is very easily countered as it is the last skill Yasuo upgrades and has the longest CC. (It also is 1D and can be easily baited as Yasuo will use WW predictively. Meaning in the early stages of the lane, you can test to see if the yasuo knows what he's doing or not).

actually since its hitbox starts inside of yasuo, he can stand in it and block both sides, as well as completely negate ultimates in choke points. also he can windwall forward, dash to a minion to begin attacking you, then dash back behind it. its an essentially free trade if he has his passive up too.

5.) Yasuo, despite what people think, in fact doesn't send tornadoes every 3 seconds. In fact, they are actually, quite easy to dodge. Just treat them as a Xerath Q. And early game if Yasuo misses his 2nd Q, welp now he has no tornado as his Q proc will reset before his Q comes up again. the hitbox for it seems off, hence why he can land it in the first place, and also has no animation if he dash q's.

also sidenote there is an audio indication

The reason he's not as broken as everyone thinks he is is because the boards are the worst at judging balance.

They can and have unironically claim(ed) a 48% winrate champion is/was OP. They have no concept of what's actually strong or not. It's just what they think is strong, which rarely ever is what is actually strong.

Overpowered seems to be the excuse for "I messed up and got caught"... Unless its in urf, cause well... its fucking urf, everything is broken.

I think that, other than WW, the reason a lot of people are upset about yasuo is that he's just better than the ADCs. He was designed as a melee ADC, and he can get 100% crit chance in 2 items rather than 4. That's also what makes crit items so hard to balance.
