For failing as a mid laner and apologizing to your team while that once person says you're toxic over and over, points out your score and breaks you down. And you just smile in the face of adversity and apologize, and still get reported. Best thing to do is not even talk in this gam- shit that's reportable too.
Yes, you can get reported for anything. But can you get punished for anything ?
It's hard to admit, but one person opnions doesn't equate in truth or reality. Take the report, turn the page and keep playing. Best case scenario, they'll get banned or, even better, their report will end up automatically in the thrash for "too many false reports".
Don't worry. Everything is going to be fine. (That's assuming you didn't do anything wrong in the first place)

You can not chat and still help your team by using smart pings I do that often. Not becaues I don't like to chat (I do like to chat), but because its just quicker then typing out "Mid MIA", since there is a MIA ping I use that instead and then use the Warning ping if I saw them heading towards bot/top in the river.
lol i just use pings until my teammates threaten to rape me or get cancer then i see the popup theyve been banned. some matches you dont even wann aplay just do the minigame. Shit is so unbalanced and unplayable anyways just use pings and have some fun.
The worst thing I said that could have gotten me a report is "I'm fucking trying and you pointing out my score is doing nothing to help me so ty for that input" After he kept repeatedly calling me out on my score. That's the worst thing I said all game.
No, you're right. You can get reported for anything in this game, because people think Riot and their Judgementbot are dumb enough to just slap a permaban on anyone regardless of how unwarranted it is. And then people complain when their legitimate reports are ignored.
I've been reported for just about everything under the sun. I got 9-man reported a month or two ago for not banning Xin, even though Xin wasn't in the game, even though I didn't have a ban vote in that game! And that's just the least of it.
The community is horrifically diseased right now with an ill, malicious mentality that is destroying almost every aspect of the game from the inside out. It's a REALLY good thing Riot doesn't take the community's advice to heart anymore.

doesn't mean the reports are valid.
the system doesn't punish things that aren't valid.
just let them report you, its fine if you didn't do anything wrong.
But you can probably report them back for harassment if they are letting others to report you.
however, if you did do something wrong ... their reports are now valid and you probably will get punished.
