So I was in lane against Illaoi and my partners started flipping the fuck out because I was losing (only 3rd time against her ever, so I don't know how she works), and then when I muted chat and pings, they said in the end game chat that I should be reported for not communicating, is it really a problem that I didn't wanna listen to their instructions if all they did was insult me?

Urgot (me): guys I muted pings and chat, you need some time to cool off.

Illaoi: lol your Urgot is so bad, 0/5 against Illaoi

Urgot (me): I have almost NEVER faced her this is only my 3rd time since her release, so how am I supposed to know anything about her?

Illaoi: lol you can stop playing autistic and git gud n word

Urgot (me): yeah only kids use racial slurs and insult others

literally all anyone did in that chat was berate me, but these 2 were THE WORST, and they said I should've been reported for not obeying instructions, who's in the wrong here?

Their behaviour is definitely punishable.

I'd advise against trying to communicate with them since (1) they are clearly idiots and (2) their opinion shouldn't matter in the least.

You did the correct thing in muting them. There is no point trying to communicate with players like that.

Not communicating is technically a punishable offense. I do not believe that it applies in this case.

If they were insulting you, then muting and reporting after the game is the perfect response.

They're obviously in the wrong... but you brought it on yourself. It seems you are new to the internet. When someone says anything about bleach, n6ers, or uses the word "autistic", there's basically no point in talking to them. Would you engage with a child in real life? No. Why bother on the internet too? Don't try to reason with children. They don't care. You said you muted everything but you still saw them insulting you before the end game screen? Next time don't make empty threats. Just mute. Leave the lobby after reporting. No point having a conversation with them.
