Like, why does the surrender vote fail 1-4 when its 9-35 at min 22 and we have 1 tower while the enemies are at inhib towers in every lane?

Hellpyre6 votesBecause there are a couple different reasons not to surrender - someone only has the time slotted out for one game, or wants to try and practice lategame playstyles, or even just is still having fun playing. If people don't want to surrender, they shouldn't have to.

Penns2 votesThe only way I can think of to have fun in these games is if you get cool enemies and youre having fun in all chat, but that wasnt the case. I blame all these "never surrender" videos from popolar League Youtubers where they come back in a 20-30 game or something lol.

Incorrect. Only way to improve is to learn to never lose the initiative. The game starts balanced, its your job to tip the scale in your favor. If your opponent tips the scale the only way to come back is for them to throw the game. Doesn't matter how many times you stay in a losing game, the only thing you learn is to wait for the enemy to screw up. You can literally learn that in one lost match, every other match after is a waste of time.
If you ff every game you are at a disadvantage you will gain more opportunities to play in matches where you never lost ground and only gained ground. Which are the games your opponents should ff20.
This game is a lot like strategic board games where comebacks just arent likely.
This will also condition you as a player to become more team oriented because it proves how crucial the early game (farm, winning or going even in lane), early objectives (first drag and first set of towers) and initial group phase (first 4v4 or 5v5) truly is. And getting better at those early portions of the game are king.
Unless you love sitting around hoping on a prayer in those 80 minute wastes of time.

I've played every competitive sport except baseball. My argument still stands. League is more like a strategic boardgame than a basketball game. All competitive sports can run out the clock and a losing team is in a race against time so you can develop Hail Mary tactics, I suppose, but even then... those are shitty and rarely work. Nope league is like a strategy game and once you lose the balance and the initiative and are forced to play reactively its in the hands of your opponent and as stated previously is a giant waste of time.
I'm gonna assume you've never played Axis and Allies, Risk, or any form of strategic boardgame where when you lose the balance you have lost the game. Thats why strategy boardgames never run their course and someone forfeits right when the balance is lost.
I'm also gonna assume you are a casual, so you likely mained water polo, tiddly winks, and hopscotch during your youth.
You lack any forum rank badges so you aren't competitive, and your name suggests you truly enjoy the casual side of league. ... .. . But I bet you don't FF the arams you are losing, no, that's definitely not in your nature to do...

Good to know when I hit ff@20 I won't have to deal with you voting no but also simultaneously feeding/looking for people to 9x report. But then again everyone up at diamond uses FF system for the same reasons I've highlighted. Makes sense if you think about it.

You're the one that diverted the conversation away from the real substance by making the first baseless claim that I haven't ever played a sport competitively. Fact still stands strong. This game has no purpose if the balance is tipped and one team has the advantage over the other. Just ff. If your team doesn't ff, do not afk, just play uber passive and return the annoyance two fold. And don't ever let the trolls on this forum tell (?) you otherwise. All boards contain a lot more players below plat/hardcore threshold. Therefore the unpopular opinion in league starts becoming the popular opinion here. So if its known that everyone in league hates those who don't ff when you're 10k behind, you come here to the boards, everyone here feels its bad to ff at any time ever. Its the same mentality people have when you talk about "X champ needs a buff" 100% within minutes you have all the "YO I MAIN X CHAMP AND HES PERFECT" you op.gg they're bronze 5 never touched the champ, no mastery points.

If your team ever gets into that mode where they start feeding their arse off but you don't want to A) Feed like them or B) Be called an afker, take option C) Play uber passive but not afk (enemy pushing inhib? retreat to nexus towers. enemy pushing nexus towers? retreat behind nexus. enemy pushing nexus? don't worry nexus is weak and games over before you can process the thought to retreat into your fountain. ggwp)

Obviously being at either extreme of the spectrum (getting stomped or doing the stomping) isn't helpful for improving yourself.

And asking for people to change their opinion on surrendering is like asking people to change their favorite color. You'll likely not succeed if you give some legitimate arguments they didn't know before. You most certainly won't succeed if you give absolutely no other reason than "I personally don't like your current opinion" and arguments they are bound to already know.

Solution I tell my team during the first ff vote that I only vote yes one time. IMO if a team won't ff at 20 then I see no difference in a 20 minute wasted game and a 55 minute wasted game. Let them suffer. After you tell them you only vote yes once, don't talk anymore, never vote and let the vote timer drag to zero. See how quickly they become the toxic typers. All those guys who had those stupid positive messages "dont ff we have the late game" etc.

That's my point. They want you to afk/type aggressively/become a toxic player so they feel they didn't waste 20 minutes either. Many players feel if they lose a 55 minute game but got to 9x report a toxic player then the game was worth it. Hence my solutions to apply in the future.

Mobility Power2 votesi almost never because i win a huge amount of comebacks. im very good at teamfighting usually and i tend to play a lot of lategame champs. theres a difference between a teamcomp of people who falloff hard being super behind in the earlygame like 20 2 or something.. or a teamcomp of lategame carries getting rekt early. or even like 1-2 super scaling champs etc.

If I see an enemy that has 0 deaths, I focus him before surrendering unless the above happens because DAMNIT! THAT PERSON IS HAVING FUN AND THAT'S UNACCEPTABLE!

We all wanted to give up...honestly I would have surrendered as I didn't feel that we deserved the win since our mid was getting destroyed by a mid BARD (yeah...like 6 solo deaths by Bard). But we won.
