I am not exaggerating. The majority of my games today have an afker/leaver on my team

Literally, the majority (over 50%) of every game I played today - which was quite a lot. And that's just counting my team. How many went afk or left on the other team?

The game has become unplayable on the weekends because this happens every time.

Is this just a silver MMR problem? The kids probably don't make it up to gold.

Riot needs stricter and swifter penalties for this. These kids need to learn the hard way not initiate games they don't intend to finish, or which they know they probably won't be able to finish.

Its spring break. Tons of younger kids are going to be playing league for a bit, and younger kids tend to afk more. So I think that may play a part in it.

I'm also on silver elo (Gold V is almost silver) and I can't remember the last afk I had in ranked, guess I'm lucky.

Gold V is a LONG way from Silver IV, where I am currently. I don't think most of these kids would have a snowballs chance in hell of making it to Gold V. I'm going to have to claw my way out of this elo by one tricking a snowballing assassin until I can finally get some decent games to play more supportive champions in.

I don't think it's an accident that people say Gold elo is the most mature elo. You've left behind all the kids.

I think you're just overexaggerating, i doubt more than half your games had leavers. And if you leave often I believe you get punished. Also no, there are kids in almost every elo I'd imagine

What you think is irrelevant. I specifically kept note and more than the majority (over 50%) of my games last weekend had a leaver or afker on my team. That is precisely why I explicitly said I was not exaggerating when I said this.

And, no, you don't get punished in any meaningful way. You get low priority queue for a while. No suspensions or bans ever come of it from what I've heard. It's just handled by an automatic leavebuster system. No mods get involved. That's why it's so rampant.

And you're also not very smart for stating something as a fact when you admit it is only in your imagination.

If you think challenger/masters is teeming with young kids like bronze/silver, you're proving we have no reason to take your opinion seriously.

I hardly ever get people that afk, leave or just plain DC, but whenever I get into a ranked game it's nearly a 45% chance. (Based on number of my games in which someone as been gone, apposed to games that played normally.)

They say you always deserve the rank you play at, but I don't feel like I deserve to automatically lose a game because a teammate never connected or gave up 10 minutes in because they never got a gank.

I won't play ranked on the weekend precisely because of this pattern of behavior that is rampant, and apparently unpunished.

It's a coin flip as to whether or not you'll be the team that gets the leaver.

They should be punished equally, or worse. I can mute a toxic person but I can't stop myself from getting teamed with leavers/griefers/afkers.

It seems like riot has gone soft on this ever since they got rid of the tribunal system. Now nothing seems to get anyone in trouble except for highly abusive in-game chat (which is few and far between, precisely because it's punished). Everything else goes unpunished as far as I can tell.

My personnal record is 12 games with int feeder leaving after in 14ranked games in a ROW. Some games had more thanone, one had 3, theother guy was my duo.

Had 4 afk in 5 games last night. 1 win 2 loss in promo, guess who didntclimb because of that
