Which cases of instant feedback are automated, and which ones are monitored by Riot?

Title. Just want to know more about how penalties are issued

Yesterday I just had a guy say "kys" twice in a game then graphically describe how he was going to spread my mom and rape her to death, followed by various racist slurs. I guess not even the automated system reviewed that one.

Also ran into a guy named Kill(N word variation). Spammed Kill N words in match throughout. Hes still playing even after I opened a support ticket on him.

Did you report either of these people at the end of game screen? Or did you leave before doing so.

Support tickets take days, sometimes a week or so before it can be reviewed by the right person and a punishment issued.

Of course I reported after game. 6 weeks after ticket close he is still playing. It was actually a group of 4 people who I have ran into twice since then, and they apparently do it every game with no issue. They even state so in the game. So I know they are still playing, I see they have games played as recently as today. 6 weeks after ticket was closed.... From speaking to a rioter I found out that their club name which was a female anatomy reference was removed, but that is it. Of course they dont reveal other players punishment details, but it is obvious they are somehow getting away with it for a long period of time due to the fact I have seen them do it 3 times and they have a current match history. I have no idea how they are slipping through the cracks because there are a lot of ban chat logs posted here with significantly less racist wordage used.

Edit: this story is regarding the N word spammer. I didnt bother opening a ticket on the previous story due to no action taken on this one.

I can't ask for names/links to match history due to policy about not posting such things on the boards.

However, it's possible the person got a chat restriction, or even a 14 day ban. Very rarely are things punished with a permanent suspension immediately - most people are given a chance to reform (at least one) before being slapped with the "go away" card.

Racial slurs and he didn't even get anything? I swear, whenever someone dared to say the N word and I were to report him, I'd always get a message about the guy getting penalized. Your guy must be really lucky to avoid that, or the system is actually defective

Strange. I almost never get the ban popup on racism. Even the type that would seem to be most detectable such as spamming N word. But if they say KYS 3 times its like a guaranteed popup.....

So I found out how ineffective the system is regarding racism. Ran into a duo named Hitler and Auschwitz (these are not the exact names, they used extended characters). Entire game spammed heil hitler and kill all jews, every time someone got a kill, tower, or died. I would guess based on their names alone they are getting away with it for quite some time. I would open a ticket but it would just be closed without action.

Riot are clearly prioritizing the 'kys' problem because the community whined a lot of about it.. Maybe racial slurs do manage to get a 14 days suspension because they're supposed to escalate your punishments but perhaps that's just not the case anymore

Lol had a teammate who called me an "autistic %%%%%%" with the N word being separated then threatened to burn my "jew ass" couple days ago. Didn't get instant feedback and noticed he just finished a game few min ago XD

They do get 14 days, just dont get punished as often as the kys spammers.

The IFS is 100% automated and runs like an E-mail spam filter.

Any manual reviews and also support tickets are handled by a consulting company, not Riot. They farm it out and it's basically lip service.

Riot doesn't review anything.

Chat is 100% automated, feeding is automated too but its rather ineffective. AFKing/leaving is 100% automated, but only to an extent. Trolling/griefing is sometimes subjective and cannot be reliably automated.

Consistently leaving/AFKing games can lead to a manual review, as Leaverbuster caps out at 5 20 minutes low priority ques, but does not actually ban people. Feeding is automated but extremely inconsistent and lenient, so feeders often have to be manually banned. The problem is manual bans are pretty rare, the offense has to be done consistently without being detected by the automated system to be manually reviewed. By far the biggest factor in getting something manually reviewed is a Reddit thread that hits the front page.

I have feeling all things are automated by Riot and only cases Riot does review are high publicity streamer cases.

Its pretty much all automated

Make sure you ask permission before telling someone somethong

And use the chat only for game related issues when necessary

Bots 3rd party bs and afks and feeding are more then likely the other 4 big automated systems. Chat is the biggest reason for bans though I'm sure some one will come shout me down but asks and 3rd party bs aren't that common and feeding is hard. Also bots is different since you kinda gotta kill not just the cheater but also the bot itself.
