Am I at a Disadvantage because I don't Talk?

I want the honor rewards for this season and last season I ended at Honor level 3. I never went up to 4 or 5 and I couldn't figure out why.

I basically never talk in chat unless a rare circumstance comes up or im with my friends. Does that put me at a disadvantage? Do I need to say good things to climb the honor system more?

I have never said a toxic thing to anybody in game ever and I have all chat turned off so I'm not sure if I am actually crippling myself by doing this because I really want Honor level 5

It can, if only because some people honor players for team-building, encouragement, positive interactions, and general friendliness.

Nah people don't give a damn about being 'nice” in game, unless your sucking up to someones ego, by telling them how good they are. People who usually get honored are usually the ones who made some good plays that was seen by other players, have good looking kda, and did not talk smack in chat, so playing well, and not typing in chat almost guarantees honors. In regards to honor level, Its less about how many honors you get every game and more about how many games you play in general (grind). Last season I was stuck at honor 3, then 4 for a long time not playing more than 2~3 games a day, then for like two weeks I played crap load of games every day and randomly got honor 5. Hope this information helps you.

Here's the thing. If you DO talk, you'll get banned/muted. Simple as. Someone will take offense to something you say and you'll be banned, and your honor level will be set to permanent zero like 3/4 of the playerbase currently. By removing the IP system, creating a low-loot level system, and removing the bonus system, they're essentially making the game P2W without making it too obvious.

Just tell people good job when they made a play, it's basically emotion cookies and you feed their ego enough they'll be like "yeah he's ok" and honor you.

Honor 4 and 5 do take a lot of games to get.
