Why you should only play ranked when you are at your best...

Ranked... Over the course of many seasons it has become a joke. People simply queue up for it whenever they feel like playing a little more serious than in normal games because of this they lose games and blame it on their teammates or "ELO Hell"

Say one day you queue up for several games at your absolute best... You win every single one of these cause you're at your best... Everything is going perfectly you climb a few divisions, You're the happiest player ever :D. The next day comes along...You're a bit tired due to all the games played yesterday and the excitement of climbing so much kept you awake awhile longer, you're short on sleep. You decide to queue up for a ranked game with the motivation of yesterday's victories fueling your decision to play ranked. However you aren't at your best...like you were yesterday... You lose. Okay..losses happen can't win them all. You queue up for another and another and those are loses too. Now you begin to ask yourself OKAY! whats going on...With each loss you become more confused. Anger and Tilt start to seep into your play unknowingly having major impacts in why you lost. Congratulations You are not tilted my dear friend. All because you queued up a little tired and weren't at your best. And because you weren't at your best, couldn't perform at the level your best brought you to. However you continue queuing up tilted...the losses stack up, the anger erupts, The tilt uncontrollable. You begin typing to your teammates with words of the devil. Your words tilt them. They go on to do the same as you have done and tilt others by mindlessly throwing insults at their teammates. With each game you play while tilted, you tilt others and they go on to do the same.

Until, Eventually, All of league of legends has been tilted, Because you queued up tired. Because you weren't your best when you queued up.

Only queue up for ranked when you're at your best :). Because if you aren't your best when you queue up...It could have unknowingly strong ripple effects that could spread across the entire player base. You alone have the power to stop the tilt that has such a strong grasp over the community. The start to a better tomorrow begins within you.

There's no way of telling your best unless you Q up into ranked. If I played norms since season 1 and said "k I should be diamond in ranked by now" I'm getting my ass kicked as the pacing in ranked due to everybody actually knowing their champions and knowing strats to group is much different from norms.

I occasionally do a lolnexus when I play norms for curiousity sake.. I'm gold 5 and my enemies are usually bronze 4.. you tell me how I'm suspose to know my best when my enemies are simply elos below me, I'm not getting better to reach diamond but beating up bronze 4s... If i head into ranked, everybody around my mmr would be in gold, in which case I get a more accurate feel of what I'm working with/against and if I'm "at my best" if I can climb past them.

This is like saying practice bots before ranked.. learn how to counter galio bot and then you should be good.

You won't know when you are at your best until you play ranked, get a rank, and either move up or down in rank.

You should play ranked when you feel that you have a good understanding of the game, the roles, and a decent amount of champs to play. You should have a champion or two for at least every role but now seeing as we have dynamic queue you can queue up for 2 specific roles.

I joined about 2 years ago and didn't play ranked until a year had passed. Got into Silver II which I think is pretty decent for a first time B)
