I'm not mad, but in my experience being Diamond 5, bot games are ineffectual in the vast majority of circumstance. It will not help players play better at any level of play, except for maybe sub-10 or sub-15. A level 25 is only hurting himself by gaining XP from bot games, since he will more quickly reach level 30 and potential eligibility for ranked without a great deal of knowledge. I could try to explain this knowledge, but honestly it would be lost on you. That's not disrespect, but I just don't see how you can justify insulting me when I am 4 leagues above you. That doesn't make me a better person, but it gives me credibility where I don't deserve your fucking disrespect. If you spent more time actually playing this game and less spamming your memes then you might actually understand the point I am trying to make.

I am well aware of why people play bot games, I'm asking the OP specifically why he is doing it as a level 25. It was not a confrontational or rude question, and you had no business trying to make some kind of meme points or whatever the hell you do on these boards interfering. The manner in which you replied to me was incredibly disrespectful, like you're perusing the non-meme boards trying to find opportunities to slip in one of your memes.

Your argument that you knew why people do bot games and couldn't figure out why he was doing it at lvl 25 is the fact that maybe you don't know that everyone's got a different learning curve. I still know level 30's that are still practicing last hitting. And still prefer bot games to get feel for a new champ. Granted I also see no point in bot games for learning champs as in my opinion it makes me feel like the champ is OP (since bots are stupid) and then I bring it to pvp and I won't be able to get away with the same shit I can in bots. Personally I play bots when I only have 25 mins of time left.

I asked the question specifically to find out why the OP himself was playing bot games. You will notice I did not say "why you playing bot games you fucking scrub git gud"

The idea was, in theory, to discuss game mechanics with him depending on his response. This could have entailed links to guides, or streamers, or just general friendly banter relative to where he might have thought his game was weak.

If you do check out that Janna and Braum thread in particular, I am interested in imparting what little knowledge I have accumulated in this game to the newer players. If they do not desire help, that is their decision and it would be wrong to impose.

I just don't understand the agenda of a bronze who is trying to get a cheap laugh by implying with that meme that I didn't know what the fuck I was talking about. He could have said the exact same thing without the meme and it would have had a different connotation. I mean, I get insulted all the time on these boards. You should see that thread where I was insisting the entire time that, at the end of season 5, Thresh was not OP compared to several other supports, and I got called every name in the book. I can handle it just fine.

It's just entirely non-productive for someone who plays this game casually, as evidenced by being bronze, to troll someone who takes this game seriously, as evidenced by them being diamond, while that person is trying to advise a new player.

To quickly accuse him of being insulting and disrespectful just because you managed to get offended, then to suggest that he doesn't have the mental capacity to understand you is hilarious. And you seem awfully concerned that people know your rank and I am curious why that is. Do you find it gives you purpose? Does being in the lowest division in the third highest tier mean that you deserve more than any other person on these forms?

Just a hint, a good player doesn't need to tell people his rank, he doesn't need to tell people he deserves respect, and he doesn't need to rely on others or achievements to affirm his worth.

Everyone's contribution has value when it relates to the collective understanding of game mechanics. I never would have brought up my rank if I was not trolled. The problem is that the reply was wrong. Yes, there are theoretical reasons to play bot games, I myself even played a bot game a couple weeks ago because I didn't know what the new items were. The point is that there is practically no reason for a level 25 to play a bot game, and it will hurt him by giving him XP and moving him up in level without teaching him anything. I have no problem with someone disagreeing with that point. However, trying to score a zinger by pointing out the abundantly obvious then following it with "the more you know" while being a bronze, and thus not really knowing much about the game at all, just didn't jive.

I don't know why people on these boards believe in rank equality, it's a meritocracy. Go look at my list of threads I made about supporting, and know how I moved up in rank. It wasn't by spamming memes in boards where they don't belong. It was by having serious discussions with people of all ranks about builds and gameplay, and I don't appreciate getting fucking trolled when I'm in a serious thread.

There are multiple reasons to play bot matches, if you don't have the time and just want a first win, want to test out a new champion or items, need practice last hitting, or testing out jungle pathing. There is nothing wrong with playing bot matches if that is what you want to do.

And saying that bronze players don't really know much about the game is a gross over simplification. I understand that there are a lot of bronze players that are terrible and refuse to learn. I also no plenty of players that have amazing game knowledge and mechanical sill and simply don't enjoy playing ranked. Sure a diamond player will have more experience, that doesn't mean they are smarter.

It's not about being smarter. It's about being exposed to gameplay. How the game is played is dramatically different between leagues. A silver game is different than gold, different than plat, different than diamond.

Similarly, an AI game is unlike anything you will see in PvP after you're level 15 or so. It's essentially useless, unless you're already level 30 and want to get those benefits like win of the day without expecting to actually increase your skill level.

I played a bot game because I literally did not know what the items were. I read patch notes, but the preseason patch was too fucking big for me to synthesize it all to be able to perform immediately at a diamond level. If someone called me out on it, which they did, I responded with my reasoning. It's not that goddamn hard to explain your actions. I didn't need someone unrelated who just puts zero effort into the game to shitpost with something unrelated.

If you're bronze, then sure, I guess AI games are a challenge for you and mimic PvP at that level. I honestly would not know. For anyone other than a legitimate noob to be stuck in bronze then try to talk on the forums about game mechanics in some kind of all-knowing way is just asinine and illogical.

Unlike others, I don't shitpost to farm upvotes, I could give a fuck about votes. I want anyone interested in how I play to know how I've rolled, how it has worked for me specifically, and if they potentially incorporate my ideas into their gameplay, they can improve. It's called being constructive.

You know, you're using ranks against people as if that is all that matters in the game. I myself am in Gold 5 and have easily decimated Diamond tier players without a problem. Some people simply don't enjoy playing ranked, or are unable to because they have a certain amount of friends they want to consistently play with. This was originally a post about a guy giving a PSA that being toxic in bots is not okay, just because you're playing against the AI, and you got angry over a simple GIF posted for amusement. Honestly, I think that you just have a serious superiority complex, and should probably fix that. Have a nice day sir.
