Can there seriously be a wood tier?

I hit lvl30. And now I, who has played so little, has to play against people with 2K+ matches. -.- Can there be a wood tier for people who recently hit lvl30?

In normals, there is a possibility of having so low of MMR that you'll be matched against non-level 30's as a level 30...that's pretty much wood tier.

2k match people aren't always good. Actually, in normals, in my experience, the worst of the worst of my team mates are generally 1200+ wins. They get set in their ways without improving and refuse to listen to any advice from anyone and just dive 1v5 repeatedly because this one time 500 games ago they played Yi and went 30/5/0 by doing that, and just assume it'll work every time.

As far as ranked, eh, play enough, you'll end up where you should be, people bottoming out at bronze 5 with 0 LP are either super troll, afkers, or just really really unskilled.

I wouldn't generalize like that about the people who just play normals.

I did say "2k match people aren't always good." If i was generalizing, I would have said "2k match people aren't good."

"the worst of the worst of my team mates are generally 1200+ wins"

o gawd generally ≠ generalize

gen·er·al·ize ˈjen(ə)rəˌlīz/ verb 1. make general or broad statement by inferring from specific cases.

gen·er·al·ly ˈjen(ə)rəlē/ adverb 1. in most cases; usually.

Generalizing that statement would have been by not using the word 'generally.' "the worst of the worst of my team mates are 1200+ wins" = generalizing

the worst of the worst of my team mates are generally (meaning not always, but usually) 1200+ wins.

Go back to vac hacking maple.

Being a word nazi (and a poor one) has nothing to do with OP's post and you're not adding anything useful here.

I wasn't even talking about 'people who just play normals' anyway. Just cause you have 1200 normal wins doesn't mean you don't have 500 ranked wins too.

The number of matches someone has played does not determine that player's skill level. Just because someone has 2k+ matches played does not necessarily mean that they are a skilled player.

Don't jump into ranked immediately.
