Giving up on telling people to avoid troll bait

How often do you guys encounter that guy that you just tell to avoid the troll messing with them in all chat just to see them refusing to listen to continue fighting with the enemy team? I lack the mind set to try and imagine why anyone would consider this a logical move and I see it cost people games nearly 100% of the time.
