Why am I hated so much for being a jungler?

I will admit I am far from super competent at being a jungler main but why is it peoples hate toward me feels so irrational? I see too often players demanding me to gank something along the likes of a full health renekton under a tower and can't seem to understand what this type of person wants. And every result is the same. I refuse to go along the lines of a call that isn't ambitiously bad but clearly asking for death and explain myself only to have the team slowly begin to throw out the term "garbage" and "trash". Though this bothers me little as ignoring them or just the mute button helps a ton but lately I started to notice something. It seems once the insults start to fly they just start to fall apart in terms of focus and will die while typing insults...Which I find incredibly funny. But after the game I find the chat turning into "report for racism" "report for trolling" and wonder...Am I just that bad?...Or are these people that foolish?

Jungler is the easiest thing for people to bash when they perform badly because its the only role that can majorly impact every lane. There are occasions where a bad jungler screws a team over but its not nearly as common as the toxic players believe it to be.

I gave jungling a shot a while back. I like the concept of it, but I couldn't stand the constant harassment from all 3 lanes who want me to be everywhere at once. I now feel for junglers and just let them do their own thing knowing they have 3 lanes to worry about, their own farm and the enemy jungler mind games as well.

Just mute and ignore them.

People need someone to blame when they lose their lanes and the jungler is a convenient target.

muteAll gege. The reason i've ever flamed a jungler was a players who picked a champion that is fully early game focused aka Shaco/Heca/Lee/Evelyn and then do nothing but afk in the jungle while the other jungle is rampaging lanes. If you do that then yeh you deserve to get trashtalked but if the enemy jungle is nowhere to be seen and your lanes die 1v1 2v2 then they are dogshit and it's their own fault.

If a laner can't hold his own in lane he doesn't deserve a gank

i love it when bot lanes asks for help after they feed.. when they have 20% hp and the enemy bot lane is both max HP.

like.. ok yes. you need help... go back.. and heal, and ill gank.. but im not goign to freaking go 1v2 get murdered against 2 and have you 2 blinding try to help and have them 2 more kills.

i also love it when the ask me to my own FED hardcounter.. like no... not ganna happen

The times that I find i'm most frustrated with my jungler are (I'm usually mid):

  1. I'm in a rough matchup, getting shoved in my tower and I need some pressure. I ask a couple times for a gank (not for a kill but for pressure so I can get my wave out of turret range so I can cs easier or stop playing dodge ball with the enemy mid laner at my tower, where frankly I have less places to move and more things to concentrate on.

  2. If the enemy has a blue buff and I don't repeatedly without any aid from my jungler. If the enemy has a blue buff and i don't they have a big advantage over me, especially if it's in a situation where I'm not buying a mana item first (IDK let's say I'm against an annie so I rushed negatron cloak, now i've got low mana regen and defense with her shoving me in.)

  3. I'm repeatedly getting jungle/roamer attention and I'm not behind, but I've got a lot of pressure on me and --- THE KEY HERE -- they are not applying pressure elsewhere on the map. I am fine losing my lane in the case of another lane winning from their pressure, but if they're still roaming camp to camp farming and not ganking and i've got a party in my lane, then yes that's frustrating.

  4. Then theres the generic, they screwed up and idk, dove hard for a first blood and died, handed the enemy whatever double buffs and then try to fix it, but just die again even though i tell them to just leave so that this doesn't happen. Oh and then I get blamed for "feeding" after because they're really farmed.

When I jungle I try to pay attention to the above things. If I take the second blue, I try to give them a gank if the enemy has it. If they are in a rough match up and having a hard time, I show up to apply pressure. You don't need a kill to help your lane, sometimes even just a combo on them and running away is enough to change the lane.

You will win so many more games by using /mute all as a jungler than not. Most people are incapable of admitting to themselves that they are the reason they are doing poorly so they look for a scapegoat and as a jungler you are the go to scapegoat. If only 1 lane is doing shitty and the other 2 are doing alright they will usually get told by the other lanes that it is their fault for them being bad. If multiple lanes are doing bad they you will get ganged up on more since laners are incapable of realizing that there are games where 2-3 lanes do terrible no matter how good the jungler is doing. I've had games where I was 6-0-6 and my team mates combined were all 6-40-6 and they still thought I was the one to blame. This isn't even just a low elo problem, this is an every elo problem.

Although I don't have any hate against junglers, i consider all Junglers like "Wild cards"

just don't know the impact they can make versus the enemy teams jungler and vise versa.

things I blame from a lose:

  1. My teammates
  2. Meta/non-meta picks/abuses
  3. the Jungler
  4. Me.

it's because you're in bronze 5, 100%.

bronze 5 is the place where i'm still actively flamed for KSing and splitting.

The most annoying shit is like asking me to gank a leblanc or spam pinging me off a wave when i get a kill for you. I dont care how much u whine im going to shove it into tower. Its not like these trashcans know how to freeze a lane. They slowpush whenever their laner roams lol

Kirius Dark2/22/2017, 4:46:04 PM1 votes

People bitch at the jungler because they refuse to acknowledge they're the issue. Game last night http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2432610268/235158654?tab=overview

Nasus solo dies before I've finished my 3rd camp and bitches at me for not helping. Dies again, bitches at me for not ganking. Mid solo dies, bitches at me for not ganking. Nasus dies again, saying if I dont gank Yasuo will get even more fed so I better do something and gank him (Yas is 2 levels up on my now at this point 7 min into the game).

Meanwhile ADC AFKed at 3 min because also no ganks (level 3) while I'm still first in my clear @ bottom jungle

Mid Xerath continues to flame me all game saying I never gank enough for him after he opens double mana items (tear & lost chapter) so all of his poke does literally nothing while annie 1 combo kills him everytime and 3 levels up after 3 solo kills, despite having a massive range advantage over annie, claims it's not him that's the problem.

my problem with junglers is when enemy jungler is something like 5/1/14 and our jungler has yet to gank(or worse has fed multiple kills). otherwise i just try to communicate with ping so not to disrupt them.

Karn Bishop2/23/2017, 4:11:52 AM1 votes

It used to be that junglers were secondary supports and the laners had to do most of the work then riot gave us junglers more and more power and now they have decided we have too much power and are starting to take it away which leads to laners who no longer remember or know how to function in a lane without jungler assistance!

They are used to picking champions into bad matchups now because they are used to their junglers doing all the heavy work and now that this is changing the laners don't know what to do anymore besides blame the jungler rather then relearning old skills that they forgot such as enemy jungler map awareness.

Then again given you are bronze 5 this is more likely just a lack of skill issue on their part, your part and the enemy teams part.

WitchQueen Annie2/23/2017, 4:50:23 AM1 votes

Junglers are perceived to fight without honour (they intervene with 1 vs 1s in laning). They rob your team mates of a sense of 1 vs 1 success accomplishment while they make your enemies think they have been cheated against. While a win is better than a loss, the loss of self-esteem caused by a Gank is quite lasting.

At the end of the day, the JG may or may not be the hero but he's certainly the Villain the team needs.

If we win, we would have done so "even without the JG's help." If we lose, it was because the "JG never ganked. (even where he did Gank or otherwise avoided Ganking because team mates were all pushing)"

i usually just ignore them if its just one person complaining.

There's no point in arguing with someone like that.

They simply do not understand you can't be dominating everywhere at one time

If im helping two lanes, securing objectives, and keeping their jungler down, well fuck the last guy because i know im doing my part
