Why is everyone one all up in arms against Riot for the slows and d/c's when it isn't their fault (kinda). I mean just because they released Final Boss Veigar with his code changing ways doesn't mean that they are to blame for the server problems they are having, right?
Sir ArmaMalum13 votesBecause when something goes wrong people need someone or something to blame that isn't themselves. And the highest relevant authority is always to blame in the eyes of mob mentality. And when said mob mentality posts crop up Reds don't (and imho shouldn't) respond to them because they'll just be attacked anyway, and the resulting silence is taken as lack of interest in the issue, which then spirals down until the problem is actually fixed and the mob breaks up because their banner (i.e. server lag) has disappeared.
I'm not saying there aren't competent people actually respectfully requesting information regarding to said problems, estimates of when it'll be repaired and statements of discontent (because saying you're not satisfied with a service is critical to good business), but people are very prone to be caught up in the mob and quickly go from "We're not happy with the service!" to "Why does this always happen!" (quickly forgetting anytime they've been content) to finally "Why you do this Rito!"

Seriously if anyone wants to help try out for the PBE. If u don't want to help keep calm and read some lore. And if one is invited on PBE; dont go there just to be among the first one to try the new champs. Find couple of friend and try at least once a week to do odd in-game stuff, try out strange combos of play, try to get stuck somewhere, re watch the game video and try to find spell miss or bad timing of animations... Basically try to brake the map or a champion :D.

As someone who has had to hire/fire people on a regular basis (more the former than the latter!), it's not that simple a process. It's NEVER that simple. People who say this have either never been in that position or... well, no, that's pretty much it.
Kitsune Saleh1 votesRiot has done a really bad job of informing people about the "Lizard group" which is DDOSING them. I myself had never even heard of them until recently during a tournament, they said the lizard group was ddosing the servers. If they get more infastructure they should be fine.
Sir ArmaMalum4 votesThe key thing about groups like Derptrolling and the Lizard Squad is that by pointing them out and saying "they're the problem, not us" is that it gives them an even larger audience, more attention and therefore makes the said company a better target (because the DDoS'ing idiots get more attention from them).
Ideally, groups like this get no attention and smolder until they realize they're not going anywhere, but because of the nature of the internet and the vulnerability of general internet services to something as simple to execute as a DDoS attack (after some recent jumps in their side of the arms race) groups like this are getting quick celebrity status.
tl;dr They're not being bad about it, they're being smart about it.
