A Ping Test Function

Lag in game is frustrating, and it's even more so when it's out of nowhere. If you could test your connection to Riot servers through the client, would be a boon to helping people avoid poor games from lag.

There is a way, but Riot is too lazy to implement it in the client before the game begin or EVEN BOTHERED to mention it at all in the support. I got this from another post in this forum.

For window: Open the "command prompt" (easiest way is to type "cmd" in file search).

Type this in:

ping 216.52.241.254 -t

look at the number next to "time = "

Any number below 30-45 ms is considered good connection/ almost lag free on your end of the server at the moment.

I seriously hate how Riot makes the players do the work and explanation, especially looking up the IP for the game to check the connection.

I did the ping test that Silver Fate X mentioned and it said i would have anywhere between 30 to 600. when in game i get 120-9999. is this really a reliable test or is it something on my end?
