Number of wins in placement games doesn't guarantee you a higher rank

It all depends on your previous MMR. If you were Silver 5-3, there's a possibility that you may be placed in Bronze, since your MMR is softly reset & reduced a little. So my recommendation to get placed in higher ranks such as (at least) Silver & above is to not suck, not just your teammates. Going 0/15/2 while your team helped you win a game doesn't grant you any MMR at all. You yourself have to be the part of the strength of the winning team.

Btw, this thread was meant for everyone who thinks they didn't deserve to be Bronze, despite having winning 9 out of 10 placement games.

That's incorrect info. KDA has nothing to do with your MMR or League placement. Winning with 100/0/100 kda is the same as winning with a 0/10/0 kda (0/100/0 will probably get you banned for intent. feeding). Likewise, losing going 20/0/20 is the same as losing going 0/12/0. Riot only looks at the result of the game, not your individual performance.

I find this very frustratingly stupid. If you are Silver 5 last season and win less than 5 provisionals you should be docked down a bit. If you win 5 you stay the same. If you win more than 5 you get a tad bit higher.

I was Plat last game during preseason

But Gold at the endof the SEASON ... with that being said My LP gains were pretty insane.. Gimme some insight bud?

Last season i went 4-6 in my promos. Can someone explain how i got silver 5 and not bronze 5?

Are you trying to say your personal KDA has bearing on MMR? If you are... source?

Hint... KDA doesn't have impact on MMR

Also your title is misleading. Winning a game will place you better than _ losing _ a game. It's science.
