Sightstone Upgrades?
While I don't exactly approve of the specifics of the execution (Why does Juggernaut look like a Fighter enchantment?), I love the system implemented for Jungling items based on boots, where you start with the basic item
, buy an upgrade for functionality

, and then enchant it for further stats to turn it into a respectable mid to late game item

. Then the thought came to me: Why not apply this to sightstone?
This is mostly for fun, but hey, just think of the possibilities:
Basic: Sightstone: 400 gold Passive: Unique: Ward Refresh - Holds 4 charges and refills upon visiting the shop. Active: Unique: Ghost Ward - Consumes a charge to place a Stealth Ward that reveals the surrounding area for 3 minutes. A player may only have 3 Stealth Wards on the map at one time.

Amethyst Sightstone: 800 gold (400 gold) Passive: Unique: Ward Refresh - Holds 5 charges and refills upon visiting the shop. Passive: Unique: Expanding Vision - A player with this item may have up to 2 Vision Wards on the map at one time. Enchantments: (I'm bad at giving stats a good and fair cost, so these are just descriptions)
Crest of Gold - Increased GP5
Crest of Iron - Increased % Health and Mana Regen
Crest of Mercury - Increased Movement Speed
So, obvious Sightstone is obvious basic component, no surprise there.
Crystal upgrades grant different ward upgrades.
Metal enchantments are the raw stats to help make the Sightstone not just over dominate an item slot. For now, I only did utility for supports, but I can see more battle stats based enchantments working for tanky/AP supports, or even top laners/Junglers who may want to invest into a sightstone.
Anyone else got any ideas for possible ward upgrades?
is the essential support item. Junglers have a way to make their item suit their play style, while supports do not have that option. In some ways, it feels like the slot is wasted. A simple enchantment system like there is for the jungler items would be enough; although it would be awesome if the second tier augmented summoner spells like
