I'm a huge fan of trash talk -- it's an integral part of every competition ever

but "EZ" is just annoying. It's not creative whatsoever and is just a borderline shitpost.

had a game yesterday as support against a trolling nunu and blitz at the bottom lane spamming EZ everytime they one-shot hook...

we still won though and proceeded to report also cuz it was pretty annoying

Even saying "gg" can be unsportsmanlike if the game wasn't really good to begin with.

A 50-9 stomp is not a "gg" for all involved, so why say "gg"? You say it because YOU in particular thought the game was good. Yeah... great... the dude who got fed and ended with a KDA of 20-2-15 says "gg". Congrats. But the guy who got stomped, or the player who got a really bad team who fed probably doesn't think it was so much of a "gg".

In certain online games, I see a pattern of people literally only using "gg" when they win and never when they lose. In some games "gg" is literally the same as "gg ez". It's just an insult nowadays. Rarely is "gg" used to actually honestly mean "this was a good game for everyone in my opinion"

I respect every player, even if they are an emote spammer when they ahead. Yet the second that say gg ez. All my respect goes away and the reports come out.

But what if I'm trying to say GG to an awesome ezreal player?

7Artemis710/5/2015, 5:00:15 PM8 votes

Or if you have that much of a burning urge to say EZ at least say it in team chat instead of all chat. I find it annoying but tolerable if people say it in team chat, but saying it in all chat just shows you're an asshole.

So are you saying I shouldn't thank Ezreal for the good game, and acknowledge him for the match?

Eastrid10/5/2015, 6:26:11 PM5 votes

I hardly trash talk but these last two days I couldn't help myself. I did it as Lux after I get an ult kill "champ name take the rainbow ride straight to hell." Then when I play Elise (only funny when you fight a Chogath and as spider and kill with Q) " I will be the only one doing the eating around here." They tend to get a lot of laughs from everyone.

awww, baby want his bottle? are you teething?

be careful to apply lotion to that skin every so often, i hear paper thin skin is unhealthy and can lead to disease.

._.) what if the game was easy, a blowout of 50-3? it was easy...

Good Game EZreal... oops finger slipped...

It's not illegal to tell strangers walking down the street to go fuck themselves and have a nice day, but you should understand that there will eventually be repercussions for your actions. It may not be against the terms to say gg ez, but there will be actions taken against you for it. In neither case does that person know you and they should not take it to heart. They should let it roll right off and be the "bigger" person...but in 99.9% of cases even nice or even tempered people will have something to say or ask following that scenario. The key difference being that doing it online just makes you a coward. You are in no danger from "speaking your mind" regardless of how little of it there is to speak of, and you deny that person their ability to take whatever satisfaction they choose from you. I've found that the ones who are the most rude, toxic and generally confrontational are most likely to be terrified of any real life confrontation or danger so they take any chance they get to kick someone while they are down...as long as is safely while anonymous. If they didn't they would be forced to understand that they are in fact cowards for taking it while laying down in real life...the more people they can do that to, the more ok it is for it to have happened to them throughout their miserable life. It's ok...you keep your "gg ez" its feels an awful lot like you need it.

Maratsune10/5/2015, 10:40:28 PM2 votes

This has become such a 'thing' that I can't comprehend why people still get offended by it. It isn't inherently offensive- just a little rude if the situation doesn't fit. I don't get why people haven't gotten over this shit yet.

GenghisEmo10/6/2015, 1:00:36 AM2 votes

the whole "gg ez" is really, really unsportsman like. I'd rather have someone be annoying other ways, than to say "ez" after the match ends. So rude to say "ez" even when it was a close match.

My Waifu Vanilla10/5/2015, 7:06:11 PM2 votes

Because in this society it is okay to say gg.....when it's not but it is NOT okay to say gg ez......when it is. I am sorry but I will not sugar coat games by throwing out good game and every one did their best and gets a gold star when you go 0/13 and give me an easy win. Sorry about you but I will gladly take my easy 20 minute surrender and thank you for the easy win.

A Miss Fortune10/5/2015, 9:15:30 PM2 votes

I feel like people take trash talk to heart.

If you're really sensitive over someone saying "gg ez", you should probably just mute your chat. I think being mature and just ignoring it if you really are that sensitive is the best thing to do, because most of the time I see people saying "ez" is as a joke. Personally I say "gg ez" when I lose sometimes simply because I think It's funny, in no way do I mean to be toxic or hurt anyone else but I just think It's funny and good, competitive trash talk is a large part of all games.
