As a person in low ELO, I would like to thank people who play tanks in low ELO

I mean, I sincerely thank you. I don't know how you play tank and not want to kill yourself after you finish a game. We don't follow up on your engages, we seem to find a way to stay as far away from you and as close to their fed Ahri or Zed at all times, and we have no concept of upgrading trinkets so we have more than 0 map vision so we can't even contest objectives but you still do it. You are truly a paragon of patience and understanding and I wish I was more like you guys, because I do not have the patience to play tank in low ELO. Once again, thank you.

I play tanky supports talk about a double whammy and to put the final nail in the coffin i play tanky supports in bronze i have all the frustration of a tank I have to baby sit the adc and listen to them complain about my job when they don't even know how to do my job without saying anything back to them and bronze is just bronze so it's already frustrating

i always felt like its hardest to carry low elo with adc. on my mid-bronze smurf i had the worst winrate with adc, followed by jungle, and those are my main roles (and im playing rather agressive junglers)... maybe its just coincidence though. if you play tanks better than the rest, go play tanks. you can carry equally as hard by disrupting their backline when your ahead

ADC is the most stressful role. 0 peel, support with 0 wards, jungler 0 ganks with 0 objective control, top laner ran ignite instead of teleport and still never got a kill in laning phase, mid laner won lane but doesn't roam so he ends up throwing away his advantage, and you're just sitting there praying to God that you can carry this piece of shit team after you finish your IE and PD.

And the best part is that in post-game chat, they'll be typing "GG noob ADC did no damage".

Playing a tank is probably the easiest way to lead a team to victory. Unless you are a god-tier carry it's really hard to push objectives as a squishy. Furthermore, most tanks have high base damage and possess enough kill pressure to get fed early and snowball into an unstoppable force. All those Sejuani bans are happening for a reason: players are more afraid of tanks than assassins. This is a good thing, so take advantage of it. Besides, tanks are way more forgiving to play and thus inherently low-risk : high-reward.

On the other hand, it more forgiving as tank because you are less likely to get blind-sided, who would want to gank a tank, and even if you mis-position you are less likely to die because you are bulletproof
P/S: Props to the Soraka that kept me Nautilus alive 1v4 in the middle of the enemy team, in return i make sure none of them can touch you (or move for that matter)

This is why I like to play carry tanks, such as Cho or Voli. "oh the team didn't follow me? let me just slowly walk back to base while they futilely try to kill me."

thx man, tear it's a hard thankless job when you play a tank as a tank. It also makes me sad to see all the people playing tanks in the back trying to last hit the enemy champ to get the kill. These low elo people only play tanks because they aren't good enough to play a bruiser or carry and think they can do that job with a tank and die less (so many stupid people in league).

I was reported once by 2 people on my team once for being 5/12 as mundo (I was 5/12/46 and dealt twice the dmg than the next highest dmg dealer and soaked 3 times more dmg), but I got two reports for that because I let the carry's get the kills.

It's nice to know there are a few people who understand and appreciate the role in the cluster of so many who will never get it.

It's honestly easier to play tanks because nobody actually farms or builds right in low ELO so all the carries do no damage, you're pretty much a raid boss.

I play only Dominion. Yeah that "huh who cares" mode. And there I find these situations in every match (except for the trinkets part ofc, but then anyway people don't watch their maps), I'm playing tank or something that can support most of my games there. And the people that do the most stupid stuff are from unranked to D1. And tbh... high ranked players tend to be a lot more annoying. At least the low ones will be more afraid and either will engage with me, run back when I'm almost dead or not engage at all (what keeps me free to fall back without worrying about one of them getting killed).

If your tanky top laner is 1v3ing top, don't chew him out. He's managed to get 3 enemies to all try to kill him. Do something with your map advantage! Go push or clear their jungle! Even if he dies you can get an easy objective . I just wanted to mention this since ive played 3-4 games as cinderhulk top Garen and routinely get into dumb messes that i probably shouldnt, but at the same time my team hasn't taken the advantage. Pushing a lane and forcing a 4v2 because they cant ignore me is such an easy fight, all you have to do is notice it.

I basically had to pick tanks every game in low elo, or we wouldn't have had one. I couldn't even first-pick something that wasn't a tank, because too often we wouldn't end up with one.

And in the patch before cinderhulk, RekSai with warriors and then full tank were about 95% of my games in the jungle until I got out of shit elo.

Oh believe me, this season for ranked I've completely abandoned my native Top Lane because I actually wanted to climb.

I could be the super-est of Tanks with 4k HP and resistances to hell and back, but I know my carries will be screwing around while I'm peeling both of the enemy carries.

So in order to make it to gold, where I sincerely hope tanks can be appreciated, if even a little bit, I switched to an ADC main just so I actually control the outcome of my games.

My heart yearns for the days when I can play Top Lane in comfort.

While I'd like to play more squishy supports in low/mid silver, I find it's best to pick Leona or something tanky. The enemy adc seems to always focus you because you're in their face while your adc if they're competent will kill them. Plus, with the lack of map awareness, It's far easier getting out of a gank alive with someone tanky with a stun than it is with 2 squishies in the bot lane.
