Placement match logic

I ended plat V with 0 lp cause I stopped the moment I hit plat last season.

I go into placement, kinda laid back cause I don't care that much. I play my ten, win 8-2 six of which were in a row. Plat V 0 lp.

Can I just use my placement matches as normal matches and make them actually reward good performance instead of feeling like I wasted my time for actually doing well? I don't mean to say that I'm really upset, but it kinda loses motivation to try when it didn't even move me up in division fora 80% win rate in placement.

I know there is a soft reset and so I started lower, but I actually paid attention to the people in my game and almost all of them were plats. The placement system feels like it could be a bit more rewarding is all rather then feeling like a waste of time or a punishment.
