League of Legends is likely as good as it's ever going to get... Riot can afford to work on a side project. Why not just something small.. like a single player RPG? Riot has creative, artistic, and musical talent that rivals Bethesda... But they choose to continue dumping resources into a very shallow game. I've shelled out over $1000 on League, so don't get me wrong, I obviously like it. But it wouldn't hurt to have something... else.

their balance team sucks their lore team is nonexistent. their community connection is a one sided exercise in masochism
the only recognizable talent in riot are their visual teams cuz hot damn the rift looks better than ever and the champs look great too.
They have the game idea that follows Sona, Miss Fortune, and Hecaram to a video game world, ruled by Veigar.
I would bet they ARE working on other things on the side, they're just not ready to TALK about them yet.

It's actually getting better. The new Butcher's Bridge map is an example of this, as well as the consistent updates to pretty much everything. League's not shallow, it's the most popular game in the World, has been for 4 years and will continue to be for years to come. It's also the best MOBA in the World.
What we need to probably increase the potential some more is a completely new permanent game mode, with a new map.
The game is dying out. Not sure if it has to do with their insane amounts of bans or just cause the game got old.
Time to move on. Honestly wouldnt be surprised if they were already working on another game. They see their numbers dropping dramatically. I dont even have to look at the numbers. Just look at how long it takes to get a game now compared to last year.
I think LoL is great, but I agree it's kind of maxed out its potential and they should start working on other games on the side. The biggest improvement they could make to this game right now is add map skins for Summoner's Rift so people don't get bored of playing the same old 5v5 SR.
ARAM/Crystal Scar is good but not having another 5v5 map like SR will stifle this game eventually. The least they could add is new skins for SR or TT, or add entirely new 5v5/3v3 maps that are essentially the same as SR/TT with different appearance
