I wanna talk about a game I had yesterday...

I thought this lane would go pretty well, but I got cocky, took a turret shot, and gave first blood. Everything is kinda tense, but it's cool. I do well in lane, poking when I can, farming when I can't.

Then mundo camps me. No matter what I do I can't shake off both sion and mundo, and when mundo keeps coming to gank, I try to farm at turret.

Problem is, my jungler, who has good intentions, skarner, tries to gank for me constantly, dies in the 2v2, and pushes my wave. If that doesn't happen, he gets me killed instead. Mundo keeps trash talking me saying stuff like "lol why tf did you even play league". I enjoy chatting with flamers, so I said "Because I enjoy the game." We had banter like this for a long time.

12 deaths later, Soraka starts trying to tilt me. She's on our team, but I'm not sure why.

Soraka "Omfg, 13 deaths? Are you kidding me? God damnit man you are fucking terrible"

She continues to harass me like this, so I mute her for a little while. It's good for people to get steam out. I can clearly see people responding in all chat, some taking my side (like Skarner and Sion and our adc, Sivir), and some taking Soraka's side (like DrMundo and soraka herself).

So I'm part of a debate that I can't really control at this point. So I unmute soraka and she's trying to wail away at me.

Then, something happens. Something magical.

End game comes.

It's 55 minutes, both of us tired from either constantly holding an open nexus or tired of pushing and failing every time.

We are all at full build, and Sion's health isn't crazily stacked, so we still have a chance.

But we lose the teamfight. We lost the teamfight and we had about 67 seconds before we are back up.

The only difference is that we weren't aced. I was the last one left, against the Sion and mundo once again. They were both at about half health, so I ult the mundo and kill him (Finally), then I chase Sion, kill him, and win us the game.

Soraka's response:

"Doesn't justify the feeding".

I think that for one, if you are constantly camped and you try to farm at turret, you are then trying to make the best of the situation, so you did nothing wrong. Your jungler had good intentions when he tries to gank you, and you, being a good team player, don't rage at him when he dies in the 2v2. Most people would get mad and say their jungler was feeding their enemy top laner. So in essense, you are not a bad player at all.

Now, don't even try to look into Soraka's words because now she's just trying to make the best of the fact that she flamed you the entire game for a potential loss and now she has to eat her words because everyone knows (or at least everyone who was looking at all chat) that she was bashing you the entire time, and you won the game for your team.

I agree that carrying a game doesn't justify you feeding early game, but in this situation, it's not like you had much choice. It's not really feeding if your doing everything that is humanly possible to not do bad. Sometimes, things are out of our hands. You waited it out til late game where it all comes down to skill, not who has the advantage early game, and you did the best you could.

So, no, don't feel bad.
