I Am So Confused

As I climb the ranked ladder, I realize that the enemies, as well as my teammates are getting better, that's obvious. I'm in low Gold elo, and I see more roaming midlaners and teleporting toplaners, and teams staying grouped together, but there's one thing I don't understand: Why don't my teams always do the same? If we're all in the same elo, and the enemy's midlaner is roaming so much, why isn't mine? Or if the toplaner is teleporting a lot, why isn't mine? I'm on a winstreak right now so I'm not losing games due to it, but it just makes no sense. In about half my games the enemy team roams/groups more than my team and it gives them a huge lead early and mid game, but if you're in this elo shouldn't you be doing it just as often? I just don't understand.
