Ribbons still exist?

Logged in today and got a pop up letting me know what a great leader I am. Neat. Closed it out and got a second pop up telling me I am one of the outstanding mentors of the community. Also nice. But I thought that this system was no longer in existence, that Riot had done away with it. And I am only level 12 and clearly there are far more deserving recipients than I. Especially when you are giving me 2 ribbons at the same time to wear. I just find it odd that Riot is continuing this system when it has been publicly labeled as "irrelevant."

Oh well. Guess I will wear them with pride.

It's based on % of honor per game. If you're low level with very few games, you probably get 1 or 2 a game which is about what it is for some ribbons. Usually people at higher levels, especially in ranked, press the report button to punish negative instead of honor to encourage positive.

For some reason I see them waaaay more at bronze MMR than at gold+ MMR
