@Riot, just feeling a little run down.

I sometimes feel like I'm wasting my time on the boards.

I realize this is probably going to sound more whiney than I am intending. Mostly I'm just tired - I'm at the end of a 15 hour shift at the end of a 60 hour work week. But I work nights and I can often keep an eye on the Boards in my down time. And I've spent a fair amount of time on the boards, especially recently. I've proposed ideas for skins, tried to explore ideas for Champions, balance & rework suggestions, came up with a new mechanic for positive player reinforcement and I've cleared up misconceptions about "bugs" that aren't - all in the name of trying to be a part of the game and community.

Yet it seems like the more depth or thought I put into things the less comes of it. I guess it is petty, in the end, to care that much whether your threads or comments or ideas gets a Red response or a lot of up votes or any degree of recognition - but you know what is on the top of the "Hot" page? A thread about getting matched with someone they reported. Over a hundred upvotes. It is 12 words long (including the title). In the top 10 "Best" forums there are some genuinely good threads but also a lot of entitlement.

There is a lot of negativity on the boards. A feeling like nothing that is said or suggested here goes anywhere. Everyone wants their favorite Champion buffed, their hated Champions nerfed, everyone wants Riot to do more with Champions but then rage at them when they come up with genuinely novel updates & concepts. Not that they all work - but they're trying. But I read somewhere, sometime, that despite having a "Champion Concepts" subforum, Riot doesn't/can't/won't actually use any of those. It is fun to come up with them though. That Da'Mah concept is pretty neat-o.

I don't know. I've been playing this game since the beta, so I feel a pretty significant amount of investment - just feeling sort of run down at the end of a long day.

Anyway, just felt like venting a little bit. Carry on.

It's not that pessimistic in fact, I relate to a lot of it.That's part of the reason I said anything :) There are so many negative threads and posts it's hard to stay positive sometimes.

I wanted to say something to the effect that more people will respond to things that make them mad then the things they agree with. But, I simply have no prove. That is just an opinion.

And just a thought but you could add @Red (insert the name here) and it might bring it to their attention and/or let them know you'd like some feedback yourself. I hope this helps a bit, I will try and be on the lookout for your new threads.

I used to work the type of hrs. you talk about also before changing fields and I know what that can take out of a person.

Personally, I believe it's because they feel a need to be sure that "their" side of the story is represented.

Sure they do and it's their prerogative, but when their side is biased and derogatory it's nice to have someone like you to take the time to explain the system to them in a patient informative manor. I have wanted to say that you for quite some time now :)
